There’s also some science mixed in as the children learn what happens to water when it is placed in below freezing weather and then brought back into a warm room. For this activity, I filled the sensory table with water and placed it outside. We don’t get snow often here in the Pacific Northwest, but it can get cold enough to freeze water. This was one of those weeks. Because we do many different winter activities, I want them to be as meaningful as possible.
