Imagining a character on the page is one thing, but depicting an entire sequence of actions meant to serve as a skeleton of the finished movie product is an entirely new endeavor. As Jack proceeded to the market, he met a stranger who offered to trade five “magic beans” for the cow. Jack accepted the trade and returned back home with the beans in his pocket. Jack’s mother was angered that he had not obeyed her instructions to sell the cow and threw the beans out of the window. As Jack slept, the beans germinated into the soil and a gigantic beanstalk grew in their place by morning. Fee! However, Jack was saved by the giant’s wife and as he escaped from the palace, he took a bag of gold coins with him. Jack disregarded having nearly been discovered by the giant twice and decided to go up the beanstalk a third time. Jack found an ax and immediately chopped the beanstalk down.

Peter Pan: The Graphic Novel - Vol. 1 by Renae De Liz I am so incredibly happy that funding is successful! THANK YOU ALL! Beyond initial funding, if we could get to $70,000 I can then include a good size "preview" of the second graphic novel into everyone's copies of "Volume 1". This particular section would be about Captain's Hook, where he came from, and a glimpse into what drives him (and yes all the information came from J.M. Barrie!) If we could get to $100,000 we could open up Volume 2 for purchase, but I understand that is probably just a dream! My goal is to adapt the original novel of Peter and Wendy by J.M. I also would like to create something that parents can share with their children. Those that have not read the novel may not realize just how much deeper and more involved the original story is.
