Equirectangular Panorama « Shutter Experiments Equirectangular Panorama is, in simple terms, a panorama that represents a 360˚ horizontal and 180˚ vertical field of view. In other words, it’s a panorama that reflects the entire field of view around you. Obviously, there aren’t any camera lenses capable of capturing such an enormous field of view yet in one capture, so these panoramas have to be stitched from multiple images. Due to a rather technical stitching process, this kind of images are not very popular in mainstream photography but are slowly gaining followers, especially in architectural photography as well as interactive panoramic photography. This post will explain the basics behind this kind of photography as well as describe the process of taking and stitching the images into a complete equirectangular panorama. There are basically two ways of capturing images necessary to stitch an equirectangular image.

Mugshots from the 1920s Guilty of selling opium and fake cocaine When ‘Harry Leon Crawford’, hotel cleaner of Stanmore was arrested and charged with wife murder he was revealed to be in fact Eugeni Falleni, a woman and mother, who had been passing as a man since 1899. In 1914, as ‘Harry Crawford’, Falleni had married the widow Annie Birkett. Three years later, shortly after she announced to a relative that she had found out ‘something amazing about Harry’, Birkett disappeared. Asya Schween - My Own Self Larry Berman and Chris Maher, writers for Shutterbug magazine, first discovered the work of Asya Schween right here on our Nikon Talk forum. Asya's haunting, beautiful and inspiring self-portrature is the perfect example of how digital photography aides the rapid realization of your own photography skills. Asya's work stands as testimony that many who consider themselves amateur photographers have far more inside them. Asya is an exchange student from Russia doing postgraduate work at the University of Southern California.

October 2007 Some Rocks “The Austrian phrase dear to the heart of Musil, “es ist passiert,” it just happened like that, some unexpected perfect contact between the spirit and the world, a hand that writes words as another might absently draw in the sand or on a sheet of paper, all without wishing to take out a patent or assure himself of exclusive rights to the sketch.” So Claudio Magris in Danube. He’s talking of the jottings of one Marianne von Willemer née Jung, whose stray lyrics in correspondence with Goethe ended up amongst the poems of Goethe’s West-östlicher Divan, a reworking of Hafiz’s Persian. (A story of a girl, a sixteen year old ballerina, emerging dressed as Harlequin out of a giant egg, bought for “two hundred gold florins and an annual pension” for the mother by the Prussian banker von Willemer; subsequent Pygmalionesquerade wherein she “learnt polite behaviour, French, Latin, Italian, drawing and singing.”
