Before I Die What matters most to you Interactive public art project that invites people to share their personal aspirations in public. After losing someone she loved and falling into depression, Chang created this experiment on an abandoned house in her neighborhood to create an anonymous place to help restore perspective and share intimately with her neighbors. The project gained global attention and thanks to passionate people around the world, over 1000 Before I Die walls have now been created in over 70 countries, including Kazakhstan, Iraq, Haiti, China, Ukraine, Portugal, Japan, Denmark, Argentina, and South Africa. The walls are an honest mess of the longing, pain, joy, insecurity, gratitude, fear, and wonder you find in every community, and they reimagine public spaces that nurture honesty, vulnerability, trust and understanding. 2011, New Orleans, LA. making buildings in foamboard miniature building construction in foamboard by Emmanuel Nouaillier Emmanuel Nouaillier shows how to scratch build and age miniature structures. This is will introduce my personal approach and techniques for scratch building and ageing buildings, pertaining to the typical northern French urban landscape of the 1940s and early 50s. I believe that a proper rendition of textures and adequate weathering of the different elements is important when making a miniature scene, where the optimal development of each small detail of a diorama becomes more a necessity to modellers who want to show, with utmost realism, models that are better detailed and weathered I will explain stage by stage in future articles how to create peculiar materials and elements and how to give the models ‘life’ while employing generic methods. Some of the ‘basic’ tools that I use to work the foam and give it some aspects and different alterations in scale. Forex may be an unfamiliar product to most modellers. Step 1 Step 2

SkateBoarding By Dave Chami Tue, Mar 23 2010 11:14 am | Comments 15 Sightings from Chami’s Hard Drive Cairo Foster hits this rail from the back for a lipslide ride. The Berkeley banks cop a sweet lein to tailslide from Mr. The backflip was lunacy (March 2010 issue) but Chris Jatoft’s stalefish ain’t playing either. You’d never know he is injured half of the year, Corey Duffel flies out to crooked grind. When Buena was going, Emmanuel Guzman was juicing it, frontside air in the corner. City boy Jimmy Cao pounces on switch heels. Jon Goemann rides a roller coaster boardslide in Oz. Lem Villemin eats double sets, nollie heelflip. Matt Miller keeps the Embarcadero flame lit with a tall back Smith. Paul Trep kept the Bay Area on it’s toes for a minute, back Smith at Daryl’s spot. Silas Baxter Neal’s nosegrind took the cake, but it was all skill to bring this lipslide back into the bank without deck checking. He had ‘em on lock, so I made him do 10 of them, Taylor Bingaman owns nosegrinds.

Todd Lamb Notes From Chris Gallery Welcome to the “ Notes From Chris” gallery. These are notes that I post around New York City from a mysterious man named Chris. Chris wants to do tedious things with people. He also has lots of problems. “ Notes From Chris” is a project started by Todd Lamb in 2008. Bottle Lantern – Lamp for Campers by Alexandra Hart & Trey Williams Better Than Fireflies in a Bottle I remember camping trips where we would carry an extra jar, just to catch fireflies and make glow-in-the-dark lamps. The Bottle Lantern looks something like that. It’s a standard wide-mouth water bottle with four bright LEDs in the lid that are powered by placing your finger in the carrying hook and turning. Thirty seconds of spinning equates to about four minutes of light.

80+ Beautiful Street Crimes done by BANKSY Asked about his technique, Banksy said: “I use whatever it takes. Sometimes that just means drawing a moustache on a girl’s face on some billboard, sometimes that means sweating for days over an intricate drawing. Efficiency is the key.” Oh, wait! Maybe we should start by explaining who the heck is Banksy first of all? Who is Banksy? Banksy is a quasi-anonymous English graffiti artist. He’s gone from a teenage tagger to a well-known artist making multi-million dollar art. Can I buy one? According to Wikipedia, Banksy does not sell photos of street graffiti (why should anyone be interested in buying PHOTOS of graffiti in the first place?). Technique He mentions in his book, ‘Wall and Piece‘, that as he was starting to do graffiti that he was always too slow and was either caught or could never finish the art in the one sitting. Enough of the theory, I’m sure most of you know more about him and will share it in the comment section. Washing (Image credits banksy via boredpanda) Maid in London

Blossom Light by Ewa Sendecka The Blossom Light The Blossom Light by designer Ewa Sendecka features four modular LED components that can be bent and molded thanks to the flexible construction of the tubing that encases the power cable (the same used in gooseneck microphone holders). For further modification the components can be used in any order or number and plugged in for power on either the first or last module. Lay it down, stand it up, or hang it from the ceiling- a great modular lighting system that only requires a little imagination. Designer: Ewa Sendecka
