ExtFS : les partitions Linux en lecture/écriture depuis Windows Paragon Software vient de lancer un nouvel outil gratuit destiné aux utilisateurs de Windows et qui permet à ces derniers d'accéder aux partitions Ext2, Ext3 et Ext4 utilisées par le système Linux. Gros avantage de ExtFS for Windows, ce soft permet de lire les fichiers de ces partitions, mais aussi d'écrire des données dessus (avec prise en charge des caractères non latins). Nécessitant Windows XP a minima, Paragon Software utilise sa technologie UFSD - pour Universal File System Driver - dans ce logiciel. A noter que Paragon propose également d'autres outils du même genre, et notamment NTFS & HFS for Linux, qui comme son nom l'indique permet aux utilisateurs du système libre d'accéder aux partitions NTFS et HFS+.
