Rate My Professors | Find and rate your professor, campus and more - RateMyProfessors.com Son of Citation Machine Growing Up Global (Excitement around the London 2012 Olympics is building! The games offer an excellent window to the world for all ages and interests, wherever you’ll watch them from. This is an excerpt from , to get started in your backyard, nearby playground, or wherever you go outside to play!) In addition to soccer and many of the Olympic sports, there are so many other universal games to play on the playground or in your neighborhood, from tag to rock-paper-scissors (known as in Japanese), sometimes with slight variations. Monkey-in-the-middle in Thailand is called or “monkey snatches ball.” Hide-and-go-seek in Iraq is known as meaning “home home,” and when a hider is found, they race back to home base to avoid being “it,” just like the Welsh game “Danny one-two-three” ( in Welsh). Kids playing their invented games in Clif Kid's Backyard Games of the Year, 2011 Tag probably has the most variations. This is a variation on Snake Tag.

Home - Faculty of Education - University of Alberta The monk: a romance The Human Factor: Creating Color Palettes (The Easy Way) by Mary Arnold “Each of these tools offers something of value for working in Web-based media; one isn’t necessarily better than another. Color choices are always, to some degree, subjective. On the other hand, with tools like these, choosing the right colors may become the easiest part of your project.” When it comes to interface design, one of my personal weaknesses is working with color. I tried, unsuccessfully, to find books and Web sites to explain color theory in a way I could use. The material I found showed examples of good color choices, but came up short when it came to describing how I could make good color choices myself. I tried a number of different approaches: using the color palettes from Microsoft Office or SmartDraw, basing color palettes on photos I liked, or even visiting Web sites for paint products and copying the color swatches I saw there. Color palettes based on photos A number of color palette generators automate one of the methods I used as a workaround. Figure 1. Figure 2.
