About Us OpenIDEO is a place where people design better, together for social good. It's an online platform for creative thinkers: the veteran designer and the new guy who just signed on, the critic and the MBA, the active participant and the curious lurker. Together, this makes up the creative guts of OpenIDEO. To become a place where good ideas gain momentum, OpenIDEO depends on participation — your inspirations and research, his comments, her ideas, our design process. It's these efforts, these big and small moments of sharing and collaboration, that make this platform a dynamic resource for tackling significant global challenges. Principles for Asset-Building Communities "Collective impact initiatives are often missing one important link -- authentic community engagement. Search Institute invites potential collaborators to join us in designing and conducting a major, mixed-methods study to answer critical questions about community engagement that can inform and strengthen the 'cradle to career' education reform efforts that are being implemented across the United States today." --Kent Pekel, President and CEO, Search Institute

List of crop plants pollinated by bees Pollination by insects is called entomophily. Entomophily is a form of plant pollination whereby pollen is distributed by insects, particularly bees, Lepidoptera (e.g. butterflies and moths), flies and beetles. Honey bees will pollinate many plant species that are not native to their natural habitat but are often inefficient pollinators of such plants. Some plants, such as root vegetables and salad crops, will produce a useful food crop without pollination when grown from seed but may require insect pollination to produce seeds for the next generation. This is not a list of plants that are pollinated only by the honeybee. The majority of these crops are pollinated in whole or part by other kinds of bees or insects.

Five strategic questions of non-profit organizational leadership Your organization’s answers to five strategic questions strengthen your ability to manage from income and in real time. Managing from income and in real time stands in contrast to managing from your expenses and after you receive expense reports. QUESTION 1: How does your organization answer the question: What is your organization’s income? The best answer includes all income sources, not just contributions and fees that help to pay operating expenses. The answer should also include non-income contributions that reduce expense, income you do not control but can influence because of your organizational connections and affiliations, and capital you can leverage.
