Copyright Randy Rambo, 2014. StoryToolz : How To Use the Story Idea Generator Ask Questions ... Take the three conflicts presented to you and ask the standard who, what, why, when, where, and how questions. Answering these questions will lead to new questions. Focus on the relationship between the conflicts—how they tie together. An Example ... In about five minutes (and 15 to flesh it out) I came up with the following story idea: A college professor is forced to receive a personal RFID implant in order to keep her job. One night she works late at her office, grading term papers. Her husband admits to having an affair with the student (she cannot even process this, to her it's unbelievable). Through the course of the story we discover that a car left the scene of the crime at the same time of the murder. So, the same technology that erroneously makes her the prime suspect must be used to to rescue her. This could use a lot of cleanup and tightening of the story telling, but that's not the point of this exercise.

De l'interview sur Skype... 40 Things to Do with a Text | Teacher Training Unplugged This article was written by Dominic Braham and Anthony Gaughan and originally appeared in English Teaching Matters, the English Language Teachers’ Associations journal. Before we get started…Wait a moment. Before you go ahead and read this article, grab a pen, a piece of paper and a clock or watch.Give yourself 5 minutes and write down all the possible things you could get students to do with a business English-suited text. Don’t edit your thoughts according to what you usually do or what you think would “work”: just let the ideas flow…OK, pens down, time’s up. How many ideas do you have on your list? Most of the following list of ideas for text exploitation was brainstormed in not much more than five minutes while we were planning sessions to form part of our Certificate in Teaching English for Business (CertTEB) course in Berlin. The ideas are presented in the order they came to us, so there is a kind of logic to the list but it certainly isn’t in order of effectiveness. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
