Sweet Station Zemer Peled Peled was born and raised in a Kibbutz in the northern part of Israel. After completing a BA (Hons) at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem she graduated with an MA (Hons) from the Royal College of Art. In recent years her work has been featured nationally and internationally in museums and galleries including Sotheby’s and Saatchi Gallery-London, Eretz Israel Museum-Tel Aviv and the Orangerie du Senate, Paris among others. Zemer Peled’s work examines the beauty and brutality of the natural world. Her sculptural language is formed by her surrounding landscapes and nature, engaging with themes of nature and memories, identity and place. Les fac-similés sont superbes. On voit les repentirs, les retouches, la densité des traits, les crayonnés, le sens des traits, leur force, les tensions, les repos… Une Bible pour dessinateur, pour peu qu’on aime la bande dessinée classique. Au sortir de ce grand moment, je me dis que, tout de même, il est dommage que j’en sois réduit à me palucher sur un catalogue d’exposition! The poster layout made very cool use of masking images with letters and shapes. 1 CREATE NEW DOCUMENT; SET TYPEChoose File>New to create a new Basic RGB document, and click OK. 2 BUILD A SHAPESelect the text with the Selection tool (V), choose Type>Create Outlines to convert the text to regular vector shapes, then choose Object>Ungroup. 3 CREATE SPATTER; CLEAN IT UPChoose Window>Symbol Libraries>Grime Vector Pack. This spatter needs some adjusting. 4 WARP SPATTER; ADD COLORChoose the Warp tool (Shift-R) and use it to push in the longer spatter lines closer to the main shape so that these protrusions don’t get in the way of the copy we’ll add later. 7 PASTE SPATTER; CHANGE BLEND MODERemember the spatter we copied to the clipboard?
