Kundalini Yoga - Mudras or Gestures. A gesture or position, usually of the hands, that locks and guides energy flow and reflexes to the brain. By curling, crossing, stretching and touching the fingers and hands, we can talk to the body and mind as each area of the hand reflexes to a certain part of the mind or body. (In each mudra, exert enough pressure to feel the flow of energy through the "nadis" (psychic channels) up the arms but not enough to whiten fingertips). (taken from best-selling book - Transitions to a Heart Centered World - Guru Rattana, Ph.D.) Some commonly used mudras are: VENUS LOCK: Interlace fingers with left little finger on the bottom, with the right index finger on top for men and the left for women. JUPITER MUDRA: (below right).

Zhine Tibetan Dream Yoga Concentration on the Tibetan letter "A" An interesting way of unfolding the mysteries of the inner process is through dream yoga. A successful seeker in dream-work must be stable enough in presence to avoid being swept away by the winds of karmic emotions and lost in the dream. All yogic and spiritual disciplines include some form of practice that develops concentration and quiets the mind. Begin the practice by sitting comfortably on a chair or in the five-pointed meditation posture: the legs crossed, the hands folded in the lap in meditation position with palms up and placed one on top of the other, the spine straight but not rigid, the head tilted down slightly to straighten the neck, and the eyes open. Generally, for practice with an object, Zhine practitioners use the Tibetan letter A as the object of concentration. . If you wish to use the Tibetan "A" you can write it on a piece of paper about an inch square. The Tibetan Letter "A" Keep the mind on the object. Top

Teachings - #1 Shamanic Drumming October 20, 2009 New Moon Shamanic Teaching #1 Shamanic Drumming When a Shamanic Drum is struck upon one side, it produces the sound of the beat, and a primary tone, or resonance. Since the hides covering the two sides of the drum are never able to be strung to precisely the same tautness, one side will always have a slightly higher pitch than the other side. The human mind fixates upon the monotonous and repetitive. The high-pitched overtone stimulates the brain into the alpha brain wave state. The undertone "drone" produced in Shamanic Drumming stimulates the brain into the theta brain wave state. When these three states of consciousness -- silence, alpha and theta -- occur simultaneously, as in Shamanic Drumming, a phenomenal experience proceeds. Download A half-hour presentation and teaching on the 5-sided Shamanic Drum Journey. If you have found value in this Teaching, please consider offering a donation.

What is so special about the word ‘OM’? While browsing net I just stumbled upon this question and a meaningful response by Chris Peter. Some how I had this question always at back of my mind to which I didnt’ got practical and logical answer which could quench my avidity. The below explanation is by Chris Peter(some parts are though edited by me..), which I just felt to share.. So here it is: Forget the philosophy, find out for yourself! Chant it correctly and you’ll instantly understand why every religion in the world uses the word (yes, even Christianity). First, know that OM is actually 3 sounds, Aaaaa, Uuuuu, and Mmmmm.Aaaaa is chanted with the mouth wide open. Most of the world’s major religions have a slight variation on OM. Ascend Academy: The Fundamental Principles of Reality Welcome to the first issue of Ascend Academy. Brace yourselves, we are about to delve into the mother load of all spiritual concepts. This article reveals the meaning behind the 7 Hermetic Principles of truth, directly from their source, The Kybalion. I am about to present some very powerful information to you that may stir up a lot of discussion, and possibly opposition. If you feel within yourself that you are not ready to handle this information, feel free to come back and read when you are. I believe that this knowledge should be widespread so that we can begin implementing and spreading its profound wisdom and applications for the ascension of mankind as a whole. It is clear that the ancient masters did not wish for these principles to be ‘crystallized into creeds by any country or religious sect’. “The Principles of Truth are Seven; he who knows these, understandingly, possesses the Magic Key before whose touch all the Doors of the Temple fly open.”
