Understanding Brainwaves to Expand our Consciousness

Understanding Brainwaves to Expand our Consciousness
The human brain is a complex entity constantly at work, sending electrical signals, communicating, building new neural connections and so on. This electrical activity generated by the brain, also known as brainwaves, reflect our state of mind. Reality is not based on outside influences but is an internal process based on our thoughts, perception and emotions. If we deepen our understanding of these brainwave frequencies, we can control our reality. There are five different kinds of brainwaves – Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta and Gamma Humans have 5 different types of brainwave that take us to different levels of consciouness . It is completely a natural biological occurrence in every human being to experience these different states at various times in a day, and generally one state is dominant. Did you know that each brainwave has its own set of characteristics representing a unique state of consciousness? Beta (12 to 30 Hz) Beta are the brainwaves of our normal waking consciousness. SSC: Key Concepts In developing our workshops on sustainability (for example, MASH), SSC has emphasized connections at many levels: with each other, with what sustainability means, and to a larger context. We have found information about the brain's anatomy and function offers an explanation of why these connections are so critical to our understanding as well as how we present them. Current research on the human brain by Dr. Paul MacLean, evolutionary neuroanatomist and senior research scientist at National Institutes of Mental Health, has revealed that the human brain consists of three parts which have distinct, but interrelated, functions. MacLean dubbed it "triune," tri for three, une for one, the Three-in-One Brain.

Dare to Own Your Potency Many of us are craving the ability to be fully authentic, to be real, to be seen and loved as who we truly are. We are collectively longing to have a visceral experience of our true creativity, power and beauty, undiluted and unmitigated by the limiting structures of the wider culture. Each of us holds the potential to bring our original selves forth into a way that transforms our world. Delta Brain Waves Infographic - Transparent Corp This 2005 study was conducted to explore whether brain stimulation could be useful in reducing preoperative anxiety in patients, while still allowing them to be "street ready" after the operation- meaning their mobility and functionality would not be hindered. 108 patients who were scheduled to undergo general anaesthesia for elective surgery were recruited for this controlled study. About an hour before their operation, the subjects were asked to complete a State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) questionnaire.

Dragon Totem - Dragon Symbolism A Look at the Dragon Totem Meanings A Dragon totem is one of the most powerful totems, representing a huge range of qualities, emotions, and traits. When Dragons come to us, it could mean many things. How To Choose The ‘Perfect’ Location For Your Off Grid Homestead or Community What exactly is “the perfect off the grid location“ to build your cabin? Well, ideally there are some things to look for in a piece of property that make it a good off the grid location. This is not a comprehensive guide, but only meant to give a good general point of reference to start from. In our quest for the perfect off grid location we’ve literally searched all over the United States from the East to the West. We know what we want, and we know what we need, but finding a good balance between the necessities and comforts and balancing that with budget and location sometimes is difficult. Like most folks, we can’t afford a huge piece of land, nor can we be too picky about the land we buy.

Brainwaves: Beta ~ Alpha ~ Theta ~ Delta In general, we are accostumed to using the beta brain rythm. When we diminish the brain rythm to alpha, we put ourselves in the ideal condition to learn new information, keep fact, data, perform elaborate tasks, learn languages, analyse complex situations. Meditation, relaxation exercises, and activities that enable the sense of calm, also enable this alpha state. 121 Documentaries To Expand Your Consciousness Here is a list of over 100 documentaries you can watch for free online. They are about Science, Consciousness, ETs, you name it. A smorgasbord of fascinating subjects to learn about. If you find a dead link please let us know and we will find another to replace it. Enjoy! The Cognitive Axon: Zombie Brain: Language Deficits This is part four of our multi-day series on The Zombie Brain. Be sure to visit Oscillatory Thoughts tomorrow for symptom 5! Symptom 4: Language deficits Let's face it, zombies aren’t known for their oratory skills. Usually you’ll hear nothing but a collective set of moans as they’re pounding at the barricaded doors. Keep in mind that the most fluent phrase we ever hear Tarman say in Return of the Living Dead is "Braaaaaains!" Tarman goes on a short lived speaking tour

The Effect of Negative Emotions on Our Health “If someone wishes for good health, one must first ask oneself if he is ready to do away with the reasons for his illness. Only then is it possible to help him.” ~ Hippocrates Your mind and body are linked, which can’t be seen, but only felt. Your body reflects your emotional and psychological states. A positive mental attitude and powerful immune system will be the result of a healthy spiritual, physical and emotional state. It is only when we ignore our bodies that illness is able to take control of our own bodies natural defenses.

Linguistics 001 Over the past century or so, we've learned a lot about the mental processes of producing, perceiving and learning language. This knowledge is detailed and extensive, but in most cases, we do not know how these processes are actually implemented in the brain. Over the same period, we've learned a great deal about the localization of different linguistic abilities in different regions of the brain, and also about how neural computation works in general. However, our understanding of how the brain creates and understands language remains very crude. One of today's great scientific challenges is to integrate the results of these two different kinds of investigation -- of the mind and of the brain -- with the goal of bringing both to a deeper level of understanding. To make this mind/brain dichotomy more concrete, consider the following example.
