Braided Four Strand Bracelet
I saw this tutorial for a beaded necklace and new I needed to try it. The instructions were easy to follow and it made a great bracelet. I added a gold chain and experimented with both a three strand braid and a four strand braid. I liked both but the four strand braid was a bit harder to work with.

i don't know what it is about this time of year that makes me just want to have my bare feet in the sand, be watching the sun setting into the ocean, and breathing in the warm salty air of the beach...as i get older, more and more i find myself missing that place i used to go to almost every.single.day. as a teen. (my skin doesn't miss it. as a matter of fact, i now wish i listened more and DID put SPF on my face...hindsight is 20/20). my mom calls me from her walk on the beach almost every morning...*sigh*yeah, i get a little homesick around this time of the year. heck on my pinterest my "dreaming of summer" has the most pictures in it. ah yes. i miss my ocean. case in point. this bracelet, brought a flood of memories, not because i used to have one like it but because i can totally see me wearing it by the beach, not caring that it's gotten salty and wet, because i can totally make another one in like less than 5 minutes flat when i get home. *sigh* okay...

I know....this is the third post (for those who follow) with pasta necklaces ... I can't stop! We went to Belgium a few weeks ago to visit family but also for my cousin wedding! My sister had a nice long green dress and she wanted a gold necklace to go with!
Eight Petal Flower Bead Ring Tutorial
When I was in junior high, I went to the mall and saw a beaded flower bracelet that I fell in love with. It was about ten dollars, so it was out of my budget. I remember going to check it out everyday because I thought it was so cool, but knowing that I didn't have the money to buy it. I would carefully examine the bracelet, trying to figure out how it was made, then run home and try to replicate it.

But what I do remember is that I was instantly caught by her cute Anthropologie replicated designs. The nice part about Suzannah's blog is that she shows you exactly what patterns she used to make the dress and other examples of similar dresses that inspired it so that you can create the exact same look! Like the one we're seeing today! It's no wonder that Suzannah became such a fabulous sewing blogger. Because my mom does not wear hats, she asked if I could make her a scarf using puff stitches!
