Personal Learning Environments

In the Wild « Web2.0 in High School I’ve facilitated a year 12 HSC English task using Classroom 2.0 ethos. I was given the previous assessment task, and then worked with the two teachers to shift it to the discourse we are advocating. I have to say that there is a huge amount of trust needed for this to happen on the part of the teachers, as this is a major HSC component.

ePortfolio - eLearning@UOW: Info for Teaching @ UOW ePortfolio is not just a tool, but a process of engaging students in activities that allow them to identify, reflect on and develop evidence of their developing Graduate Qualities and Professional Skills, and to justify and explain their skills and qualities to others. UOW has been strategically developing and trialling ePortfolio tools and projects since 2002. A University of Wollongong ePortfolio Community was launched on 13th May 2008 via the Innaugural ePortfolio Symposium to celebrate and share the diversity of approaches, activities and tools used by the 2007 and 2008 cohorts. Future plans include working with the emerging National ePortfolio Community (developed and developing by the Carrick ePortfolio project), regular meetings of the UoW ePortfolio Community via CEDIR Academic Staff development programs.

The Centre for International ePortfolio Development: home After eight years’ operation, The Centre for International ePortfolio Development (CIePD) closed in December 2013. CIePD work at the University CIePD forged new ways of working across the whole student lifecycle, introducing the latest technology to support learning, careers and progression.
