Fui testigo de muchos acontecimientos, entre ellos las protestas públicas. Este domingo se celebraron allí elecciones generales, aunque no parece probable que el problema se solucione a corto plazo. Deseo y espero que la paz y el progreso acompañen a los tailandeses, habitantes de un maravilloso país que recibe a millones de visitantes cada año. Decidí recibir 2014 en Bangkok, la capital de ese hermoso país del sudeste asiático y ser testigo de sus fiestas, de la alegría de su gente y de toda su riqueza. La espiritualidad ronda cada uno de los rincones de Tailandia y el elefante es su símbolo de fuerza, sabiduría y protección. Pese al desarrollo de las nuevas tecnologías, a estos enormes cuadrúpedos se les utiliza aun como medio de transporte y en labores de carga y tiro, entre otras faenas agrícolas. Así es Tailandia de asombrosa. ¡Gracias, Tailandia!

This modern Japanese eatery may be something of an old hand in the fashionable restaurant stakes, but the cooking is as fresh as ever, with the emphasis on clean strong flavours & beautiful presentation. Dishes are modishly intended for grazing & sharing & the kitchen is happy to cross borders & break with convention. Zingy ‘new-style’ salmon sashimi is seared in olive oil & drizzled with ponzu sauce, lamb is served with oriental mushrooms, creamed leeks & wasabi pepper sauce, & there´s ‘awesome’ sushi for those who want it.
