Lorenzo Verzini  -  Journal Journal Out to Dry 21 Jun, 2013 One for the people that have never been by the italian seaside during what I call summer: if I just close my eyes, this is the projection in my brain of those moments. This is a lovely series from Nicolee, a californian photographer girl now based in Rome. SymbolAssist: More Symbols, Less Work // Plasticmind Blog - StumbleUpon After seeing the nifty characters TwitterKeys made readily available for posting into your Twitter and IM conversations, I got inspired to dig around the 65,000+ Unicode characters and find some more gems. As I did, I started to realize a couple of things. First, a huge list of symbols wouldn’t be all that helpful. Second, these symbols are useful for more than just jazzing up your Twitter conversations (✌ @plasticmind). Too often I’m opening up Word or trying to find a page on Google with the symbol I need.

Top Links to Fonts for Your Self-Published Book One of the most often-asked questions on the blog is: “What text font should I use for my book?” In fact, this question comes up so often I’ve written quite a few articles on the subject. But like most blogs, these posts can be hard to find in the dark reaches of the archives. After writing earlier this week about the posts with the most blog comments, I realized that I had never brought all these articles together in one place. To make up for that, and as a resource I can point to when people ask the question again about the best book font—certain to happen in the very near future—I’ve brought them all together here. If you’re working on your book design, or if you design books for other people, help yourself to some font goodness.

Repository Design activities Co-designing Envisioning I love typography But will it fly? Perhaps the most difficult part in compiling this list is not what to include, but what to leave out. There are, then, many other typefaces that should be in this list, but aren’t. Perhaps some of your favourites from 2009 coincide with mine; perhaps they don’t — I’d love to hear about them in the comments below. Without further ado:
