Recycled Craft: Custom Portable Art Case I have a couple of budding artists in my house, and it seems like we have projects and materials spread all over the house. I consider this a good thing- but I still wanted to contain the supplies a bit, and in a fun way. I made this custom art suitcase out of a thrifted book. But we have added a colorful chains hanging from the ceiling, and produce the effect that is the shelf that hangs from above. I want to share this outdoor seating project my sister did in one weekend. It’s quite simple, plus it’s cute and functional! WHAT WAS USED: • Cushions: $120 for 4 (Target – “Outdoor Threshold Deep Seating Cushion”) • Pillows: approx. $50 for 5 (Target/Ikea) • Side pillows: (optional) $10 each… came from another chair • All-purpose construction glue: $5 (Home Depot) • 4×4 lumber (8′ long): approx. $30 for 3 (Home Depot) • Cinder blocks: $15 for 8 • Paint: $30, sister used 2 shades (optional, but adds a nice touch and makes the cinder blocks look less like cinder blocks)There really isn’t any construction.

MAGAZINE ENVELOPES 18K+ Well I got this idea from our friend Nina. She was making these super cute envelopes out of scrapbook paper and I really wanted to make some! So I came home and made some! They are so so SO simple and add a personal touch to your envelopes. You will need: An old magazine, scissors, an envelope, a glue stick and a Sharpie. Tear out some magazine pages that you like.
