Before & After: A Beautiful Dining Room On A Budget We’ve all been there. Faced with a room that desperately needs an update, but a wallet that desperately needs a fill-up. Redesigning a room doesn’t come cheap, especially when factoring in all-new furniture and fixtures. Oftentimes, one might find themselves ogling over home goods in shop catalogues, but opting to wait a little longer on the renovation because of their ultimate price tag. When Felicia Brickey of Little Brick Home encountered this issue with her kitchen, however, she was undeterred. Above: Felicia assembled her dining room’s table and bench using DIY instructions from Anna White (Table, Bench). Above: Felicia hand-sewed the floor-to-ceiling curtains from bare canvas drop cloths (available at most hardware stores). Above: The chairs are Overstock.com’s Paloma Dining Chairs. I'm sad to say though temperatures have warmed considerably, we have not yet been able to work on the Momplex. Hopefully today we will have an opportunity. But today, I'm so excited to share with you Patrick's Jelly Cupboard. Primitive furniture is a favorite of mine, and Patrick's Jelly Cupboard with it's distressed finish is gorgeous! Loving the hardware and wire mesh for the doors. And some tips from Patrick: On your worktable, clamp two boards together at a right angle with a square And then use these boards as guides to make perfect square doors. Place shims between the doors for a perfect fit as you install hinges. And this is one of my favorite tips - for a distressed finish with rubbed dark edges, spray paint with cheap black spray paint the edges you plan to distress.

Reorganizing and Redecorating Your Living Room | www.prakticideas.com In my opinion the living room is an oasis of rest and relaxation in everyone’s home. Here you spend most of your time with family, listening to music, watching TV, making future plans. But also, your living room is a place where you organize small parties or where you are sitting with your friends when they come to visit. It’s natural that you want to change the appearance of your living room more often than the other rooms. And because you can not change the whole furniture from your living room very often you can “reinvent” the place by replacing smaller furniture with new ones. For example you can change the wooden coffee table with a glass one, with the advantage that is modern and gives the impression of more space; you can replace old lamps with lamps that have unusual design, you can replace the carpet with a few small rugs. Also, decorating objects can change the living room decor. Get Updates
