Sarcastic Sayings About Life

Sarcastic Sayings About Life
Sarcasm is an obscure form of humor that needs an acquired taste to appreciate. If you are a fan of Chandler Bing from the popular series, 'Friends', you know what I am trying to say. That guy just keeps coming up with sarcastic lines all the time. Sarcasm is disguised humor and mockery which can even pass as a straight statement if not understood carefully. If you are someone like 'Joey' (from the same series 'Friends'), you will have a tough time detecting it. That's the beauty of sarcasm. Superbly Sarcastic Sayings Here are some sarcastic literary pearls by some great minds. "I am not young enough to know everything." - Oscar Wilde "Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go." - Oscar Wilde "Marriage is the chief cause of divorce." - Groucho Marx "History teaches us that men and nations behave wisely once they have exhausted all other alternatives." - Abba Eban "Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school." - Albert Einstein Related:  Quotes

Collected Quotes from Albert Einstein [Note: This list of Einstein quotes was being forwarded around the Internet in e-mail, so I decided to put it on my web page. I'm afraid I can't vouch for its authenticity, tell you where it came from, who compiled the list, who Kevin Harris is, or anything like that. Still, the quotes are interesting and enlightening.] "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. The Top 10 Psychology Studies of 2010 | Psychology Today - StumbleUpon The end of 2010 fast approaches, and I'm thrilled to have been asked by the editors of Psychology Today to write about the Top 10 psychology studies of the year. I've focused on studies that I personally feel stand out, not only as examples of great science, but even more importantly, as examples of how the science of psychology can improve our lives. Each study has a clear "take home" message, offering the reader an insight or a simple strategy they can use to reach their goals , strengthen their relationships, make better decisions, or become happier. If you extract the wisdom from these ten studies and apply them in your own life, 2011 just might be a very good year. 1) How to Break Bad Habits If you are trying to stop smoking , swearing, or chewing your nails, you have probably tried the strategy of distracting yourself - taking your mind off whatever it is you are trying not to do - to break the habit. Albert Einstein Quotes Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from that of their social environment. At the same time, as social beings, we are moved in the relations with our fellow beings by such feelings as sympathy, pride, hate, need for power, pity, and so on. If you can't explain something simply, you don't know enough about it. You do not really understand something unless you can explain it to your grandmother. It should be possible to explain the laws of physics to a barmaid. When I examine myself and my methods of thought, I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge. What I seek to accomplish is to serve with my feeble capacity truth and justice at the risk of pleasing no one. It gives me great pleasure indeed to see the stubbornness of an incorrigible nonconformist warmly acclaimed. 1.

Self-Education Quotes Over the coming months, this blog will give suggestions for how to become a “self-made scholar,” – a person who takes control of his or her own learning. Schools can give you a lot of opportunities, but relying on schools to give you an education is ridiculous. I have a graduate degree, and I’ve learned more from library books and websites than I’ve ever learned in class. But, don’t take my word for it. Check out these self-education quotes from some very perceptive thinkers: “Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school,” - Albert Einstein “I have never let my schooling interfere with my education “Real education must ultimately be limited to men who insist on knowing–the rest is mere sheep-herding.” - Ezra Loomis Pound “Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune “I cannot teach anybody anything, I can only make them think “The only person who is educated is the one who has learned how to learn and change.”

Temperament Website - Portrait of the Rational Mastermind (INTJ) All Rationals are good at planning operations, but Masterminds are head and shoulders above all the rest in contingency planning. Complex operations involve many steps or stages, one following another in a necessary progression, and Masterminds are naturally able to grasp how each one leads to the next, and to prepare alternatives for difficulties that are likely to arise any step of the way. Trying to anticipate every contingency, Masterminds never set off on their current project without a Plan A firmly in mind, but they are always prepared to switch to Plan B or C or D if need be. Masterminds are rare, comprising no more than one to two percent of the population, and they are rarely encountered outside their office, factory, school, or laboratory. Although they are highly capable leaders, Masterminds are not at all eager to take command, preferring to stay in the background until others demonstrate their inability to lead.

To sleep less and dream more --- Gabriel Garcia Marquez If for a moment God were to forget that I am a rag doll and granted me a piece of life, I probably wouldn't say everything that I think; rather, I would think about everything that I say. I would value things, not for their worth but for what they mean. I would sleep less, dream more, understanding that for each minute we close our eyes, we lose sixty seconds of light. I would walk when others hold back, I would wake when others sleep, I would listen when others talk. And how I would enjoy a good chocolate ice cream! If God were to give me a piece of life, I would dress simply, throw myself face first into the sun, baring not only my body but also my soul. My God, if I had a heart, I would write my hate on ice, and wait for the sun to show. I would water roses with my tears, to feel the pain of their thorns and the red kiss of their petals... I would convince each woman and each man that they are my favorites, and I would live in love with love. So much have I learned from you, oh men ...

Photo Quoto People That Come Into Your Life. - StumbleUpon Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there... to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be but when you lock eyes with them, you know that every moment that you are with them, they will affect your life in some profound way. Sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, will power or heart. Everything happens for a reason! Nothing happens by chance or by means of good luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. The people you meet affect your life. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again.
