Hello, World. The Idea: Making the move from a tech to a lifestyle brand. With this project, we set out to create a top-to-bottom transformation of the Airbnb brand to reflect the growing global audience. Part of our goal was to design a marque anyone could draw – something that transcended language and formed the foundation of the new brand. The marque, named Bélo, encompasses values of belonging and is imbued with four meanings of People, Places, Love and Airbnb. Mega, A Diverse Illustrator Mega is an amazing self-taught designer based in Indonesia. His style extraordinary and different from what we have seen so far. Some of you may remember the first post I had for his work I Just Murdered The Alphabet, which was hand made work and needed 6 months to finish. Recently he had his solo exhibition in Paris. I took this opportunity to interview him and learn more about this great illustrator! If you have never used an airbrush, you will probably be way ahead of the game when approaching the use of Adobe Illustrator's "Gradient Mesh Tool" for the first time. I have found it to be one of the most frustratingly time consuming and counterintuitive computer drawing tools. This is especially true when compared to Photoshop's "Paintbrush Tool, which is very similar to an actual airbrush in its operation and use.

SEAN MORRIS I was stoked to be asked to co-curate the new issue of Australian art mag Kingbrown, alongside Tom Groves from Black Canyon Projects. I’ve been a big fan for years, so it was pretty dreamy to able to put together the line-up and interview a whole bunch of all time favourite artists and friends…. including Skinner, Hellen Jo, Saner, Malarko, Stevie Gee, Michael C Hsiung, Brendan Monroe, Lugosis, Cone The Weird, Simon Hanselmann, Sheryo, Matt Furie, Aiyana Udesen and Albert Reyes. The mag comes with an embossed cover by Brendan Monroe, a poster by Malarko, sticker by Sheryo and a glow in the dark embroidered patch by Stevie Gee - all sealed inside a silkscreened brown bag designed by Future Colors of America. ZINE POLICE Thursday, April 17, 2013 Blobby Boys is a weekly comic on VICE now: click here to read it. I made this short for Animation Breakdown at Cinefamily: Tuesday, December 31, 2013 I had an art show at Secret Headquarters in Los Angeles. Issue Press printed this zine collecting all of the work from that show.
