Sommarläsning #3 I slutet av sommarlovet kastade en lärare ut en skolfråga på Twitter: Vilken är din största utmaning inför kommande läsår? Mitt svar blev: Att följa upp vad varje elev lär sig genom min undervisning. Det var starkt inspirerat av läsningen av John Hatties bok Synligt lärande för lärare, som jag precis avslutat. Skolforskaren John Hatties stora studie om effektiva arbetsmetoder i skolan är nog känd för de flesta på skolan. Två saker som Hatties studie visar är betydelsen av kollegialt samarbete och vikten av återkoppling (feedback). Återkopplingens betydelse är kanske det som blivit mest uppmärksammat i Hatties studie. En annan sak som Hattie lyfter är vikten av att välkomna misstag och att skapa en atmosfär i klassrummet där misstag ses som möjligheter till lärande – ett viktigt första steg till lärande. ”Jag har missat mer än nio tusen skott under min karriär.
