Apple Cider Caramels I Heart Nap Time Hi all! Talitha from Love, Pomegranate House here again. Has the Fall bug hit you yet? I absolutely love this recipe. Before getting to the recipe let me give you a little warning. Now that I gave you that little tip, on to the recipe.77K+ Ingredients 2 cups apple cider 1 cup heavy whipping cream divided pinch ground cloves 1 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1 1/2 cups white sugar 3 tbsp water 1/3 cup light corn syrup 1/2 cup butter cubed Instructions In a saucepan, boil apple cider for 20-30 minutes or until it is reduced down to 1/3 cup. Make sure you get apple cider, not apple juice. Here’s another little tip for those of you who don’t have a candy thermometer or, like me, it breaks halfway through your caramel making. I’m not going to lie, these might be my new favorite… everything. Come check out what else I’ve been working on at Love, Pomegranate House!

Homemade, Kool-Aid, Taffy! Here is a great idea for a fun summertime activity (for all ages!), and it makes a delicious treat too so it's a double bonus! I remember the first time I made homemade taffy, I thought it was so cool to play with my food with permission before eating it. This recipe is fun since you can change the flavor to whatever you want, just by using a different flavor of Kool-Aid. Homemade Kool Aid Taffy 2 1/2 cups sugar 3 tablespoons cornstarch 1 cup light corn syrup 1 1/3 cups water (room temperature) 2 tablespoons butter softened, plus a lot more for buttering hands 1 teaspoon salt 1 6g package unsweetened fruit flavored drink mix (like Kool Aid) 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1.
