Apparemment, la petite corbeille en ficelle du facteur a donné envie et certaines d'entre vous sont prêtes à tester le rugueux de la ficelle, à découvrir la musculature insoupçonnée de leurs délicates mimines grâce au crochet n°5, à investir dans un tube de crème pour récompenser la peau de leurs doigts après une demi-heure de crochet rustique... alors, lancez-vous ! Le matériel : Des pelotons de ficelle et un crochet n°5.Mes bouts de ficelle (selle de cheval, cheval de course, course en sac...etc !) ne font généralement pas plus d'un mètre mais c'est pas grave ! Il faut juste penser à dissimuler chaque changement de fils dans les m. serrées au fur et à mesure qu'on crochète. Le fond :R1 : 4 m. en l'air. Nautical Afghan February 2014
I just finished this nautical themed afghan to match the nursery my sister is decorating for her soon-to-arrive baby boy! I designed it myself, with a little inspiration from Pinterest, and figured out how do do all the squares. I've tried to provide instructions for the design below, but I'm not sure I've used all the right terms. If something is confusing, leave a comment, and I'll try to explain better. Honestly, I'm not sure I know how to pick up and drop colors correctly, but the way I did this one was to single crochet around the yarns I wasn't using so that the yarn got carried along inside the stitch. You can see in the pictures below how this led to other colors peeking through. Here's the method I used for each square: After chaining 30, I did 30 rows of 30 sc, changing colors as indicated in the patterns below. ROPE SQUARE (all white): Ch 30. Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc). 29 dc. Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), (4 bpdc, 2 dc) 4 times, 4 bpdc, 1 dc With light blue, ch 30.

about this pattern: i found this pretty picture on pinterest and was totally smitten. after a lot of googling and searching i wasn’t able to find the pattern, so decided to figure the pattern out myself. dottie angel‘s pictures of her thrifty find was very helpful, and i was happy to find out that this is actually a pretty simple pattern, so novices – don’t be alarmed! just go ahead and try it out :) for more pictures, check out this, this or this post. about yarn/hook: any yarn with corresponding hook will do, i find that moving up a hook size from what the yarn says makes a softer material that would work better with a blanket. i’ve made pillows with these squares so that wouldn’t matter so much. i used sandnes duo (dk weight) and hook 4 mm and the square measures 8×8 cm, with garnstudio drops paris (aran) and hook 5 mm one square is a bit over 10×10. first a couple of basics: 2. the first dc on row is made by chain 3 begin with colour of flower. chain 4, make circle with one slip stitch
