The 10 Most Ridiculously Awesome Geeky Computer Pranks Everybody loves a good prank… unless you are the one on the receiving end of the fun. It’s time to hone your pranking skills, not just to make sure you are the best, but so you can avoid being pranked by others. Yeah, sure, we could go with the old standards, like a blue screen of death screensaver or something like that, but it’s time to use our geek skills and come up with something better. We’ll cover some of the old favorites too, but maybe with a twist. Disclaimer: Get a sense of humor. Make the Space Key Write the Word SPACE Here’s a clever prank for you: Make the victim’s computer actually type the word “SPACE” every time they hit the space bar. Just create a new AutoHotkey script and drop in the following two lines of code—the first one is to hide the tray icon, and the second sets up the hotkey for replacing the text. #NoTrayIcon *Space::Send,SPACE You’ll probably want to right-click on the script and compile it to an executable before putting it on their computer. That’s it.

The Fox Is Black » Bach’s Cantata 147, ‘Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring’ Played On a Giant Wooden Xylophone In a Forest This is probably the largest, least creative title for a post ever, but it’s also one of the most descriptive as well. The video is a commercial by DOCOMO for the Touch Wood SH-08C, a limited edition phone of which there are only 15,000 being made. But honestly I could care less about the phone, this commercial is a thousand times more cool. By combining lord knows how many pieces of wood, they were able to make a long, downhill track that was able to reproduce Bach’s Cantata 147, Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.

Inside zombie brains: Sci-fi teaches science In "The Zombie Autopsies," Dr. Steven Schlozman imagines a virus that strips the brain down to its basest levels. A new novel "The Zombie Autopsies" is about, well, zombiesThe zombie virus basically eats the brain down to the amygdalaWhen it's humans vs. zombies, the best solution is a strategic attack, mathematician says Zombie author and expert Dr. (CNN) -- An airborne virus is rapidly turning people into zombies. Relax, it's only fiction -- at least, for now. You might not expect someone with those credentials to take zombies seriously, but it turns out the undead are a great way to explore real-world health issues: why certain nasty diseases can destroy the brain, how global pandemics create chaos and fear, and what should be done about people infected with a highly contagious and incurable lethal illness. "One of the things zombie novels do is they bring up all these existential concerns that happen in medicine all the time: How do you define what's alive?" Harvard M.D.'
