L'e-marchand se prépare à lancer Pantry, un service qui permettra aux abonnés américains d'Amazon Prime de se faire livrer ces produits dans un carton de taille unique. Amazon prépare pour 2014 un service d'achat de biens de consommation courante, qui seront expédié dans un carton de taille unique et dans une certaine limite de poids, selon USA Today. Baptisé Pantry, il sera réservé aux abonnés Amazon Prime et débutera avec 2000 références, des produits nettoyants à l'alimentation animale en passant par l'épicerie sèche et certaines boissons. Les acheteurs pourront sélectionner autant de produits qu'ils le souhaitent tant qu'ils rentrent dans le carton et ne dépassent pas un certain poids total. Le colis leur sera ensuite expédié pour un tarif assez bas.
