I love how quick, comforting and delicious veggie bowls are. This spring vegetable coconut curry bowl has a colorful medley of asparagus, snow peas and carrots in a mild and fragrant coconut curry sauce. I Love Papercrete Papercrete was originally patented in the 20's. The patent lapsed because it was too easy to make on your own and the patent holder wasn't able to make any money off it. It really came into it's own as a building material in the 80's. Eric Patterson and Mike McCain are widely credited with independently inventing (rediscovering) it and actively developing techniques and machinery for working with it. I discovered papercrete in the late nineties.

I used to believe that a person could never have too many books, or too many bookmarks. Then I moved into an apartment slightly larger than some people’s closets (and much smaller than many people’s garages) and all these beliefs got turned on their naïeve little heads.

Make a gift bow from a magazine page In gift wrap emergencies when you've got the present but need some wrapping, here's an idea for turning a magazine page into a bow. There may be better ways to stick this thing together, but I used what I had on hand: staples and adhesive glue dots. Double stick tape or brads should work, too. Cut a magazine page lengthwise into 9 strips, 3/4" wide. The snow has all but melted, dripping in steady streams of water off the roof, seeping into the dried grass. Small patches of mud dot the edges of the yard where foot traffic has worn away the layers of sod, and for a few moments the world seems brown. Then suddenly, seemingly overnight, little bits of green start to fleck the crisp yard, and the smallest buds appear on the apple trees, pushing out from fresh nubs on the still bare branches. The sun shines freely, until one day you look outside and see that green has returned. Spring is the time of year for brunches.
