Formation distance Image par Jacques Cartier - Mauborget - Jura suisse Lors de mon intervention sur le Mooc DocTICE (voir billet précédent), les collègues documentalistes ont défendu l’idée, qui a été la leur lors de la genèse de leur Mooc, d’utiliser des outils du web et non une plateforme de formation institutionnelle pour mener à bien leur projet. Il existe en effet une tension entre ces deux solutions qui n’est pas nouvelle d’ailleurs : depuis l’arrivée de la Toile, de nombreux collègues ou associations de collègues ont créé leurs propres sites web en parallèle des sites institutionnels. ll peut sembler, de prime abord, que c’est faire cavalier seul que de sortir du champ institutionnel pour faire de la formation qui touche au champ professionnel. La raison du choix des collègues se situe plus, me semble-t-il, du côté de la simplicité d’utilisation de la Toile, des outils nombreux mis à disposition, à la nature de leur projet qu’ils qualifient eux-mêmes de “bricolage”.

But, as Kuhn suggested, periodically, we encounter such an array of anomalies in existing world views, that we must essentially reframe the space. Video was initially used as a tool to record stage productions. Like video assumed to do the work of stage productions, or the web to do the work of books, or elearning to duplicate the activities of classrooms, we stand at a point of transformation. And so, we build for a world that no longer exists. We are building for a world that no longer exists. Knowledge Trends There are simple and trite things that we can say about knowledge: it’s growing rapidly, it’s becoming more complex, it’s global, and that it’s connected. …and learning: it’s social, it’s informal, it’s continuous, it’s embedded in the daily activities of life.
