What is Postmasculine? The goal of this site is a reality-based form of self-help, as investigated through a deep understanding of psychology, culture and a little bit of my own ridiculousness. 3 Ways MarkManson.net Differs from Other Personal Growth Resources: Happiness is like being cool, the harder you try the less it’s going to happen. So stop trying. If these ideas appeal to you then here are some of the best articles to start with to get a general grasp of what the site is about (clicking each one opens a new tab): How did the site begin? One night in 2007, a random guy offered to pay me if I helped him talk to girls. From 2008 until 2011, I was a full-time professional dating coach for men. By 2013, I had begun writing about larger cultural issues — gender relations, happiness, ambition, life purpose, and cultural perspectives I had gathered while living in various countries around the world. That same year, I made the leap to my own site and domain, broadening the demographics for whom I write. Who Am I?

How To Walk Through Walls In 7 Steps Everyone wants to follow their passion. I want to follow mine. I hope you want to follow yours. How do we break down the wall that we, through our “education”, “culture”, “backgrounds”, etc, put up brick by brick for ourselves. When I was growing up in Argentina, people were disappearing right off the streets and never returning because they dared to break down the wall. The wall is not really a wall, it is something much more harmful and solid than that, it is our inner saboteur, and it tends to appear in the form of a thought, it may sound like this: I don’t have the right credentials (schooling, teachers, corporate blessing, etc)I’ve never done it beforeI need technical skillsMy spouse would be upset at meI have to pay my bills so I can’t! I was at a dinner last month deep in Texas with five men, all of them brilliant. None of them ever heard of the wall, ceilings, or excuses, at least not in business. 1. This morning I knew I had to write and I had no idea what to write about. 2. 3.

Kaitlyn Hunt refuses plea offer, will go to court over high school relationship Kaitlyn Hunt, the 18-year-old high school senior facing felony charges over a same-sex relationship with a 14-year-old freshman classmate, has refused a plea deal that would have labeled her a sex offender and placed her under house arrest for two years. Hunt’s parents, citing that the relationship was consensual, had requested Florida prosecutors reduce the charges to a misdemeanor, but their request was denied by the state. Hunt’s lawyer Julia Graves explained the decision to go to court in a statement: “This is a situation of two teenagers who happen to be of the same sex involved in a relationship. If this case involved a boy and girl, there would be no media attention to this case … If this incident occurred 108 days earlier when she was 17, we wouldn’t even be here.” The case has generated considerable public attention, with many advocates arguing that anti-gay bias is fueling the charges. xoJane I started having sex with adult men when I was 13 years old. Neglected at home and ostracized at school, I found comfort in the sexual attentions of older men. Unlike boys my own age, who cruelly taunted me, older men were nice to me. Unlike my emotionally distant father, older men paid attention to me. They were grooming me, but to that chubby, attention-starved teenage girl, their attentions felt a lot like love. And so I created Prodigy chat rooms with names like "13yo girl home alone" and spent hours chatting and having phone sex with the men who would find me there. I was not coerced. And yet, on Monday, Stacey Rambold, a Senior High teacher convicted of raping 14-year-old Cherice Morales, who later committed suicide, was sentenced to spend just 30 days in jail. The judge also said Morales was "older than her chronological age." Yep, you read that right. After the sentencing, the victim's mother shouted "You people suck!"
