Congressional Budget Office - Home Page L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center: STD Testing and Treatment - L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center’s Sexual Health Program offers free sexually transmitted disease screening, treatment and education specifically for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community (though everyone is welcome). Routine testing is available on a walk-in basis. STD screenings are offered to anyone undergoing HIV testing as well. Full screenings are available; testing is done on a walk-in basis only. For treatment, same-day or next-day appointments are often available, and you can schedule an appointment by phone or in person at the registration desk. It’s important to test for STDs on a regular basis; we encourage individuals who are sexually active to get tested every 6 months.
