DIY Rubber Slime Stretchy, a bit bouncy (not too slimy) and tons of fun to make and play with - this DIY rubber slime is sure to be a hit in your house. This "recipe" is similar to what some are using for a homemade silly putty. I wouldn't quite call this silly putty although it's pretty similar. Silly Putty is more dense than this. You'll need liquid starch, glue (a bit stronger formula than the classroom glue) and food coloring (optional). Pour some glue into a bowl (this glass bowl I used was very easy to clean up) and add food coloring if you're using it. Mix it up well and then add some liquid starch. Start mixing. It will get hard to use a spoon or a stick so you'll have to start using your hands The mixture will start changing as the starch and glue mix together. If your mixture starts to look like this but it still a bit sticky you can let it sit for a bit. It's very forgiving and there wasn't a perfect mixture just add more glue/starch as needed to get the consistency you like best. or torn

Woven gift-wrap // pastel edition ^_^ By Kate on August 8, 2012 I noticed that the woven gift-topper I made last year was doing the rounds again on Pinterest so I thought I would make an updated pastel version (pastels seem to be the new neon at the moment). I bought some quilling strips (0.5cm) to use this time which reduces the labour by about half (I’ve also been working on some more intricate woven ‘things’ for another project…more to come soon). Anyway check out the previous post if you want full instructions. Finally, the font used on these images is called soymilk and it’s free to download …yay!

How to Sew Your Own Pajama Pants To make sure you get the right size, just make sure you have a pair of pants that fit the intended pajama wearer. If your pajama wearer is far away, then find out the right size and borrow some pants from someone who is that size or carry yourself down to the Salvation Army and part with a couple of your increasingly precious dollars for a busted-up pair you can use as a pattern. This is a DIY tutorial and I figure anyone smart enough to sew up some pajama pants is also smart enough to find some in the right size but you never know. Fabric - woven cotton or flannel or jersey or whatever floats your boat. The exact amount you need will depend on how big the pants are and whether the print is directional or not. If you are an experienced sewer, you know what that means and you can skip the next bit or you can read it and think, "Well, duh."

I got LOT’S of requests for a tutorial on how I DID THIS! So here it is. I want to warn you. It’s best to triple your yarn because it will burn longer! Soak it GOOD! I like to tie my yarn where I want my glass to “cut” then quickly pour polish remover over the string again. Get a big bowl with ice and water ready. VERY IMPORTANT! Slowly turn your bottle.
