Concours Eurovision de la Chanson 2009 Le plus grand pays participant au Concours Eurovision de la Chanson, la Russie, organisait la compétition. Dès la victoire de Dima Bilan en 2008, le premier ministre Vladimir Poutin s'était emparé de l'évènement et avait constitué un comité d'organisation au sein de son ministère. La télévision russe mais aussi l'état ont apporté leurs contributions à cette organisation. Le décor de John Casey était une grande scène circulaire, entourée d'écrans géants et d'une couronne mobile diffusant images et lumières. L'organisation restait bien sur sur deux demi-finales et une finale, pour un total de 42 pays. Pour la présentation des émissions, une nouveauté, un duo a été nommé pour présenter les demi-finales, Andrey Malakhov & Natalya Vodyanova, et un autre pour la finale, Ivan Urgant & Alsou. Ivan Urgant est né dans une famille d'acteurs. Andrey Malakhov a 37 ans. Les cartes postales était basées sur un personnage qui occupa également une série d'affiches du Concours.

Loreen - Euphoria (Sweden 2012) | Participant Profile It came as no surprise when Loreen won Melodifestivalen, the Swedish selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, but she did it with record figures; more than 670,000 of the four million viewers called in to vote for her song Euphoria. Afterwards Loreen was simply overwhelmed: ”A fantastic feeling, I almost started sobbing... but now I want to see what I can do better. Two months of preparation can do miracles!” Loreen (28) was raised on the countryside outside Stockholm, in a family of Moroccan-Berber origin. It's fitting that Loreen learned to play the piano by imitating the very minimalistic Michael Nyman score to the 90's film The Piano. She then interrupts herself laughing: ”I'm really “impossible” in this age of living your life in the digital space. Euphoria, written and produced by Peter Boström and Thomas G:son, is Loreen’s third single release and has already spent three weeks topping the Swedish charts quickly surpassing Platinum status.
