Comment créer une manipulation de photo Flaming | Psdtuts + In this tutorial, we'll manipulate a picture so it looks like a woman burning in flames. The idea behind this manipulation was to create a nice looking illustration, only by using simple techniques and tools such as the Brush tool and Warp command. I hope you enjoy the tutorial and try it with your own stock imagery. Editor's note: This tutorial was originally published on Psdtuts in January 2009. Step 1 For this project, I used two nice images that suits for the manipulation; image1, image2. Step 2 Let's start with image1, open and duplicate this image by using the Image > Duplicate command from the menu bar. Step 3 With the "PassionFire" image active, duplicate the "background" layer. Step 4 Reactivate "Layer 1," then press Command + Shift + U to apply desaturate command. Step 5 Duplicate "Layer 1," then apply the find edges filter from Filter > Stylized > Find Edges. Step 6 To give the white line more contrast, duplicate the "Layer 1" copy then change the Blending Mode to Screen. Step 7

Frequency separation Software: Photoshop CS2 or later Project time: 1-2 hours Skills: Learn a non-destructive retouching workflow, separate an image by spatial frequencies, recontour shadows and highlights One of the black arts of photographic retouching is how to achieve the impossibly smooth, yet sharply rendered skin, textures and fabrics seen in fashion and beauty images. Photoshop has its own high quality smoothing and sharpening filters, but the two processes tend to be somewhat contradictory. In this tutorial, I'll walk you through how I retouch an image from start to finish, using a technique that enables you to selectively process not only different areas of an image, but also different detail levels. Frequency separation involves creating a high detail (high spatial frequency) layer and a low detail layer from a source image - a particularly clever method of doing this was popularised by Sean Baker, a Maryland-based photographer and retoucher. Step 01 Step 02 Select the low frequency layer. Step 03

Video tutorial: Harmonise tricky tones and colours This walkthrough is a simplified version of how you would get two different images to harmonise together using the Color Sampler tool and Curves layers in Photoshop. We’re using the Color Sampler tool here, on two images taken by photographer Ruth Rose, to match an approximated black point (or at least a dark region of shadow) in a background to a similarly dark region on our subject. In principle, to get the images working together we would want to match their black, grey and white points – however this isn’t always easy, and it tends to be the shadows that give away superimposed images if they’re not well matched. We’ll then apply a subtle tone and colour filter over the whole image to bring it together a bit more. Step 01 With your subject neatly cut out, the first thing to do is to paste it onto your new background. Step 02 With the Info display visible, note the R, G and B values displayed in the first box. PSHERO How to Enhance & Retouch an Image – Photoshop Tutorial Sometimes we have a precious moment in our lives captured in the wrong way. This is where Photoshop is used to fix this problem — to enhance and retouch our precious, yet less-than-perfect image to become precious perfect ones. In this tutorial, I will share some of my favourite enhancing and retouching techniques. You may know some of my techniques, and others, you may not. So, let’s get started. Step 1 Open the Cosplay Girl image. Step 2 Notice that the image isn’t smooth enough, especially the hair, so I want to make it smoother by increasing the amount of the pixels. Step 3 Now I want to level it, to make this image better. It will be good if we can trace the brightest, darkest and midtone pixels of this image to apply proper level adjustment on it. To do that, duplicate the background layer by hitting Ctrl + J. Step 4 Target layer 1, and double click it to bring up the Layer Style dialog box. Step 5 Step 6 Again with the Color Sampler tool, point it to the one of those remaining spots.

How To Make Digital Photos Look Like Lomo Photography The following tip on getting digital images to look like Lomo Images was submitted by DPS reader – Frank Lazaro. You can see his photography at his Flickr page and see some of his Lomo shots here. From the first time I saw a photo that looked like this, I wanted to shoot one of my own. But, for the longest time I couldn’t figure it out how people took photos look like this. Then one day searching the web, I realized I needed a Lomo LC-A camera. Low and behold I went out and bought 2 of these babies. I searched and searched and after trying several different Photoshop methods, I finally came up with my own using a mix of different techniques. Get Free Weekly Digital Camera Tips via Email Here is my step by step on how I take a digital photo and make it Lomoified. Getting Started – Creating a Vignette The first thing you want to do is create the classic vignette that the Lomos are well known for and I achieve this by doing a freehand lasso of a circle around the photo.
