Six Social Media Tips for Business Owners in Boring Industries By now you've probably realized that there's no one-size-fits-all instruction manual for social media marketing. I don't know who decided that maintaining engaging social media profiles is the end-all, be-all for online marketing campaigns, but that sure does seem to be the current mindset. Ettore Sottsass / Design Museum Collection ETTORE SOTTSASS (1917-2007) was a grandee of late 20th century Italian design. Best known as the founder of the early 1980s Memphis collective, he also designed iconic electronic products for Olivetti, as well as beautiful glass and ceramics. Wherever he went, Ettore Sottsass carried a camera to photograph anything that caught his eye. Doors, temples, kitchens, billboards: nothing escaped him. The vexation was caused by yet more Anglers, not fishermen but Twitter Anglers - a type of Twitter user who follows an account for 24/48 hours in the hopes of getting followed back, and if they don't, unfollows before trying again a couple of weeks later – in short, a 'numbers' person for which worth is a secondary consideration. Irritation aside, this did lead me to think further and share a few thoughts about engagement across Twitter, how we keep score and common trends across campaigns. Retweet

Ten steps to creating a poster illustration with Adobe Photoshop CS6 Design projects created in Photoshop use an editable master file called a PSD file. The PSD file separates elements with layers, saves color selections as masks, and preserves the ability to edit many of the effects applied to images and text. You can always return to the PSD file to make changes as needed. Photoshop is primarily used to render bitmap graphics. Unlike vector images created in Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Flash Professional, bitmap images are composed of a grid of colors. The colors appear as dots side by side in rows and columns. Targeted to social recruiting rookies (both individuals and employers), this post provides an overview of how people’s digital activity can and should be considered during the hiring process.
