Urbex.Me - Reportages Exploration Urbaine Château de Singes – The Abandoned Château à Cahaignes in France – Abandoned Playgrounds The Chateau de Singes (Castle of Monkeys) is also known as the Chateau la Folie (Chateau of Folly) but is really the Château à Cahaignes (Castle Cahaignes). It is located off Rue de Chateau (Castle Street) in Cahaignes, Eure, Upper Normandy, France. The history of the decaying Château à Cahaignes is scarce. The architecture of the building is breathtaking and it was built in the 17th century. Unfortunately this home does not seem to be protected by any Historical Monument Acts and is not a listed structure when it really should be. If you know any reason as to why this home is forsaken or why no one has started with any sort of renovations or anything before it is too late, please leave a comment.
