Fewer succeed. Journey now to an island world surrealistically tinged with mystery … where every vibrant rock, scrap of paper, and sound may hold vital clues to your unraveling a chilling tale of intrigue and injustice that defies all boundaries of time and space. Only your wits and imagination will serve to stay the course and unlock the ancient betrayal of ages past. You are standing on a dock beside the jutting masts and crow’s nest of a sunken ship, water lapping calmly under your feet. Catherine,I’ve left you a message of utmost importance in the forechamber beside the dock. For the 6 million–odd people who have played Myst since its release 20 years ago, these images are as embedded in their memories as those seven immortal opening notes of Super Mario Bros. The premise was deceptively simple: You are The Stranger, a person of inconsequential gender, race, or origin, minding your own business when a book falls into the black starlit void you call home.

<<Figura 3. Figura 4. 2) Técnicas sin contacto. Figura 5.

Xj3D Java-based X3D Toolkit & Browser Xj3D is an open source (LGPL) project of the Web3D Consortium Source Working Group focused on creating a toolkit for VRML97 and X3D content written completely in Java. It serves a dual purpose of being an experimental codebase for trying out new areas of the X3D specification and as a library that we encourage application developers to use within their own application to support X3D technology. Xj3D is highly componetized so it is easy to use only the components you need for developing your own X3D-based project. More information about Xj3D, Conformance information, Developer Documentation and Bug Tracking are available at Download the current release: 1.0 (16 April 2006) This release features installers for Windows, Linux, Solaris and Mac OS X platforms. WindowsMac OS X PPCXj3D Installer for Mac OS X (PPC) (10 MB .jar) Java 1.4.2 or greater must already be installed. Xj3D Developer Documentation

OpenSCAD - About OpenSCAD is a software for creating solid 3D CAD models. It is free software and available for Linux/UNIX, Windows and Mac OS X. Unlike most free software for creating 3D models (such as Blender) it does not focus on the artistic aspects of 3D modelling but instead on the CAD aspects. Thus it might be the application you are looking for when you are planning to create 3D models of machine parts but pretty sure is not what you are looking for when you are more interested in creating computer-animated movies. OpenSCAD is not an interactive modeller. Instead it is something like a 3D-compiler that reads in a script file that describes the object and renders the 3D model from this script file. OpenSCAD provides two main modelling techniques: First there is constructive solid geometry (aka CSG) and second there is extrusion of 2D outlines.

Chris Campbell's Blog: Java 2D and JOGL: The Flip Side Posted by campbell on January 23, 2007 at 12:25 PM PST The Hemingway Version In my last blog entry, Easy 2D/3D Mixing in Swing, my goal was to show Swing developers how easy it can be to include 3D content in a desktop application via JOGL and OpenGL. I think we've done a decent job of making things easier for that class of developers, but what if we look at the problem from the other end of the barrel? Let's get the demo out of the way before getting into any of the details. Better yet, run the demo yourself (the app itself is sandboxed and only requires JDK 5; here's the source code, with NetBeans project included): The Faulkner Version Ken Russell (the mastermind behind JOGL) promises me that he'll soon have a blog of his own, which means I'll have to stop stealing all of his thunder. Texture and TextureIO These aren't new (they were added to Sun's JOGL implementation over 18 months ago), but it helps to mention them in the context of the newer convenience classes.

Introduction NIH Image is a public domain image processing and analysis program for the Macintosh. It was developed at the Research Services Branch (RSB) of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). It has been superseded by ImageJ, a Java program inspired by NIH Image that runs on the Macintosh, Linux and Windows. Image can acquire, display, edit, enhance, analyze and animate images. Image can be used to measure area, mean, centroid, perimeter, etc. of user defined regions of interest. A tool palette supports editing of color and gray scale images, including the ability to draw lines, rectangles and text. Image directly supports Data Translation and Scion frame grabber cards for capturing images or movie sequences using a TV camera. Image can be customized in three ways: via a built-in Pascal-like macro language, via externally compiled plug-in modules and on the Pascal source code level.
