mariadiamantes Iain Claridge Studio - Art Director / Digital Creative. Bristol, UK. blog self portrait! turned out a bit cartoony, proportion-wise. process video here. the one and only green bikini! tried another sketch in the style of this one. i like doing these kinds of portraits/caricatures/whatever they are! revisiting an old favorite of mine… a quick ariel doodle to celebrate the fact that my arm seems to be almost completely healed! i re-drew a few poses from my some of my old drawings just for kicks. switched between left and right hands on this one. just practice! another doodle with my left hand. still very shaky! if you’re wondering why these look pretty wobbly, it’s because i drew them with my left hand. my right arm has officially given up for today and needs some serious rest! used ref for these. a few quick lunch-break doodles. drawn from ref pics that i took this morning with my phone on my jogging route! ok last one! another stock photo sketch, based on this one quick sketch based on this stock photo.

MonsterBlog - Chewing Arts On Daily Basis! Jennifer Davis Art Observatory: Design Observer 10/1/10 Anthropomorphism is defined as the attribution of human characteristics to animals or non-living things, phenomena, material states and objects or abstract concepts. Examples include animals and plants and forces of nature such as winds, rain or the sun depicted as creatures with human motivations, and/or the abilities to reason and converse. The term derives from the combination of the Greek ἄνθρωπος (ánthrōpos), "human" and μορφή (morphē), "shape" or "form". With such a broad definition one realizes that anthropomorphism covers characters as diverse as Osmosis Jones, Mickey Mouse, Hamm, Bagheera, Draco the dragon, and the Pixar luxo lamps. While I can't state definitively why Robin Hood in particular is seen by so many as the quintessential anthropomorphic character, I can say that he is a classic case of form following function in animated character design. The studio chose to tell the "Robin Hood" story with animals. This becomes quite a trick for a natural fox.

LivingDesign by Asif R Naqvi | A creative and inspiration resource dedicated to design and life, and everything in between Two Brothers, One Piece of Art The work of two brothers is more than just a piece of art, it is a form of joint communication. James and Tom Gulliver work together to create colorful, explorative art. Tom was born with Down Syndrome and the work he creates with his brother allows him to communicate past his disability and use the art to show his feelings and thoughts. It is neat to see the brothers work together and create such interesting work. Each piece looks like an experiment where all of the parts are shown in an exploded view. They are full of layers, which makes them so intriguing. See Also Visual Expressions of Autism Tom and James Gulliver grew up in Sydney, Australia, where they began painting and drawing together as soon as they could both draw. I am a graphic designer and illustrator who never seems to have enough hours in the day.
