Glasses Sleeve: a tutorial Sometimes it's fun to sew on a small scale. When I first started getting into sewing I made about 100 cases for my phone. It's a fun, quick little project that you'll actually use everyday. And it's a chance to get creative with colors and stitching. Of course you could modify this tutorial to make any kind of sleeve. Materials: Outer Fabric Lining Fabric Batting (you could substitute 1-2 sheets of felt) Tutorial: Lay your glasses down on your fabric. Cut the same size piece from your lining fabric. Lay the outer fabric on an oversized piece of batting. Now have some quilting fun! Tip: to get parallel, straight lines I lined up the right side of my presser foot with the edge of the fabric Now line up the foot with the stitch you just made. Keep going and you'll have something like this: Cut off the extra batting. Sew as shown below: Make sure your glasses fit nice and snug before cutting off the extra seam allowance. Leave the outer piece inside out. Insert lining into the sleeve. Hope you enjoy!

Tutorial: Patchwork Wristlet Thank you to many of you who requesteda tutorial on this pouch. This wristlet, measuring approximately 6 3/4" x 5",has some fun features including three insidepockets for cards and a chap stick and a littleloop outside the pouch that holds a key chain.I have been making tons of these pouches justbecause this project is simple, easy, quick, fun,and quite addictive, so I hope you enjoy this tutorial. We start off with twenty four 2 1/4" squares.(Once again, seam allowance of 1/4" isincluded unless otherwise noted.)Twelve of them will be one side, andthe other twelve go to the back side. We now take the twelve squares that come toone side of the pouch. Fun ;) After you have four strips, it's time to press. Pressing seam allowances like this will makeyour finished patchwork piece less bulky andit helps to ensure that each corner of a squarepiece matches with corners of other squares around it. We'll sew them together. Then press seams open! like that. Then we cut off the excess.Fun part ;)
