The Hero with a Thousand Faces The Hero with a Thousand Faces (first published in 1949) is a work of comparative mythology by Joseph Campbell. In this book, Campbell discusses his theory of the mythological structure of the journey of the archetypal hero found in world myths. Since the publication of The Hero with a Thousand Faces, Campbell's theory has been consciously applied by a wide variety of modern writers and artists. Filmmaker George Lucas acknowledged Campbell's theory in mythology, and its influence on the Star Wars films.[1] Summary[edit] Campbell explores the theory that mythological narratives frequently share a fundamental structure. Tor Lillqvist--PSPI: Running Photoshop plug-ins in GIMP PSPI is a GIMP plug-in that runs 3rd-party Photoshop plug-in filters. I wrote it in 2001, and it initially worked on Windows only. Then nothing much happened until March 2006 when it became available also on Linux. Where to find Photoshop plug-in filters that are any good? Google is your friend. There are some exceptions though. Some magazines that come with "cover" CD-ROMs, like Computer Arts, often include commercial Photoshop filters on the CD-ROMs. Photoshop plug-in filters (for the Windows version of Photoshop, which is what we are talking about here) are actually (32-bit) Windows DLLs, which are dynamically loaded into the plug-in host process's address space. Unlike GIMP plug-ins, 3rd-party Photoshop plug-ins don't use any common user interface library. Windows The Windows package includes just pspi.exe.
