If You're Going to Make A Legitimate LEGO Millennium Falcon, You'll Need 10,000 Pieces Posted May 12, by Brandon Siewert The Millennium Falcon is one of LEGO's most popular sets, in large part because of Star Wars' enormous fanbase. But it probably wouldn't be so popular if certain compromises weren't made to its design. In order to make the set affordable, LEGO couldn't make it too detailed or large. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter After months of planning, and weeks of building, they created this masterpiece. A 10,000+ piece, 3 feet-long, to-scale replica of the Millennium Falcon. And it is absolutely incredible. If you're an avid Star Wars fan, it's a thing of beauty to look at. The team wanted the model to have everything - even the Falcon's engine internals. But their incredible skill and execution almost makes you wonder... Could they build a Star Destroyer Next?

NVDRS Tape by Stefano Pertegato. Massimiliano Rampoldi, Eloisa Tolu, Francesco Schiraldi & Giovanni Mendini Finger Power Works The Tape No matter how much we progress as far as technology is concerned, we always look back towards retro stalwarts for inspiration in the designing field. NVDRS Tape foxes around in the Cassette Tape construction but is actually a digital player. Deceptive looks aside, the player continues to follow the 45/60/90 minutes norm, holding 10/15/20 select songs in digital format; uploaded via USB. Designers: Stefano Pertegato, Massimiliano Rampoldi, Eloisa Tolu, Francesco Schiraldi & Giovanni Mendini There are a couple of things regarding this player that really stands out. Charging it depends how good are you at …you guessed it…rotating the spools! Between the two wheels is nestled a small display that only shows you the time elapsed for the song, nothing else! Retro, green and spunky makes this my wishlist priority.

This idea is very inexpensive idea and it’s a great way to recycle a wine bottle. See how this simple idea inspired this brand and wine bottle design. It’s been a record year for mosquitoes here in Indianapolis, Indiana and I’d been wanting to add some Tiki-esque torches to the patio to combat the little buggers, and add a little ambiance. After searching the world over to find a torch that was affordable and atypical I came to the conclusion that unless I wanted wicker or bamboo, I needed to be a bit more resourceful. Here’s what you’ll need. Empty Wine Bottle (Use any bottle as long as it’s glass and the neck is 1” in diameter. Brain Games & Brain Training You Built What?!: A Compact Mechanical Crossbow With the Precision of a Laser Last October, after hurting his knee playing hockey, Patrick Priebe was holed up in his apartment near Cologne, Germany, with nothing to do. He was sitting at his computer, staring at his keyboard, when the "Y" key caught his eye. Priebe didn't see a letter. To him, it looked like a crossbow. For years, the German lab technician had built laser weapons, including a working Iron Man–style palm-fired blue-diode laser. Next he gathered more aluminum, copper, and brass sheeting. To fire, he pulls back the wire, hooks it around a brass block, and places an arrow in the groove. Priebe can use the crossbow to pierce soda cans, smash lightbulbs, and tag apples. Go on to the next page for three more DIY projectile launchers.
