How I Study... in an Organized Way I'm super crazy about organization. I'm no where near OCD, but anyone who knows me knows that I'm all about things being in order. Perfect example: my closet is organized by type of clothing and then organized by color. I like to know where something is when I go looking for it, but I'll put that in another post. I'll go through this step by step. Syllabi Let's start with the syllabi. Once an assignment, test, or reading has been finished, I highlight it so I know that it's done and I don't need to worry about it anymore. Planner My planner is my sidekick during the semester. My planner, much like everything else in my life, is color coordinated. Moving On...... Here's how I get my weekly assignments organized so I can do them: I like lists. I pick a color for each subject, and make a list on a piece of notebook paper, the Stickies on my laptop, and organize my syllabi with the corresponding color flag tags.

The battle droids actually *looked* like devices built for live combat situations—heavily-armoured, heavily-ARMED, and just...heavy! The Bad: 1) WHEN will people finally drop the completely stupid "careful withdrawal of consciousness from virtual environment" trope? 2) If a battle bot has some way of overloading its batteries or onboard generator to generate an EMP, IT WILL FRY ITSELF IN THE PROCESS. I know, I know, I'm a nitpicking geek...but, really, what's the excuse for complete scientific illiteracy in so-called "sci-fi" film-making? 5 Epic Sci-Fi Movies You Can Watch In Under 10 Minutes Look, you're a busy person, I understand -- but that doesn't mean you can't make time for your passions. And assuming your "passion" is passively consuming nerd-media, then maybe it's time to make time for some quality new science fiction. But you don't have 30 hours to burn on Alphas (which was way better than you think), or even 10 to rewatch Firefly -- you have, at most, an hour on your lunch break to cram as much dork into your skull as possible. DIY Ultimate Note-Taking Notebook This is sort of mid-range between what I do and a Moleskine. What I do: 1. Take a regular pad of yellow notepaper (glued at the top). 2. 2a. Cheaper than other systems, only takes a few minutes to accomplish, still includes removable paper for easy scanning, and no guilt for using a $20 notebook. I do this because I really can't justify the expense for note-taking. (I do carry a small Moleskine notebook, the cheap paper-bound one, for on-the-fly note taking). But, of course, I read Lifehacker religiously so, sooner or later, I'll try something like this. LIST OF DOCUMENTARIES Welcome to the Must Watch section. It is our understanding that for a truly democratic society to exist, there must be a free flow of easily accessible information. For the most part (not including heavy censorship in China), the Internet has allowed for this free flow of information to everyone and anyone with access to the internet and it is imperative that this right continues to be protected. Unfortunately, the principle of free flowing information does not exist in the mainstream media because our governments continue to allow large corporations to consolidate the entire media industry. For this reason, many facts, perspectives, and opinions do not make it to our televisions, movie theatres, newspapers, and radio stations.
