My Baking Addiction Nola Cuisine | Celebrating the Food and Drink of New Orleans Louisiana! Kalyn's Kitchen smitten kitchen Orangette Cheeky Kitchen The Crepes of Wrath Mr. Food OOH IT'S SO GOOD!! chocolate pudding pie A lot of times, a recipe comes with a story, and if you’re even luckier, it’s a good one. There are dishes that remind you of something your mama used to cook and unforgettable meals at far-flung restaurants that demand recreating in your own kitchen and fresh stuff that looked so pretty at the market, you had to come home and have your way with it. This is not any of those times. I don’t have a good story about why I had to make a chocolate pudding pie this weekend or why you should before your weekend is done and gone, and I at first felt bad about this until I realized that at 37 weeks and 4 days pregnant not that anyone is counting or anything one does not need a good reason to make chocolate pudding pie — they are the definition of one. Because did you read the part about the chocolate? Though you might have to then share it with them, which is inconvenient when you realize how good it tastes. Want to make chocolate pudding, but hold the pie shell? * Detour!

Jeffrey Tastes Baked Caramel Apple Donuts & shutterbean When you find yourself shopping online at 2AM, mini donut pans sound like a brilliant idea. That’s not something your sharp witted, practical 12PM mind allows you to consider–especially when your husband begged you not to add anymore items to the kitchen. When you wake up the next morning with a confirmation that your donut pans have shipped, you might find yourself wondering what else you’ve ordered online…Japanese steak knives? (a wise purchase!) A leash for your invisible dog? On the day these donut pans arrived, I immediately made a batch following the recipe included with the pans. While diving into my first few donuts, I thought they were awesome but the caramel topping was a bit on the thick/chewy side…An overnight stay on my kitchen counter produced the most amazingly moist caramel saturated donut. p.s.- what if we put some fancy salt on top? Let’s get started! Eggs mix with sugars in a bowl. Peel the apples! Shred the apples with a grater. After a minute, stir! Ahhhh heaven!

100+ Homemade Popsicle Recipes [Updated for 2012] Here’s a fun collection in this Recipe Hit List, tasty homemade treats to enjoy during the summer season! This list isn’t exclusive to popsicles, I’ve also included pudding, frozen yogurt & fruit pops. Many of these are a lot healthier (and sometimes cheaper) than buying ready-made. How to pick just one, they all look so good! Not sure where to start? Try layering 2, 3 or more flavors in your molds for treats that aren’t only going to please your taste buds, they look pretty too (see picture). I’ve organized the collection into groups for easier browsing (by flavor), some fit into more than one but are grouped with just one flavor (example Banana Coconut is just filed under Banana). At the bottom of the page you’ll find treats just for grownups since they contain a bit of alcohol as well as a section for Mixed Fruits & Berries. As always, I’ll be updating this page as I find new goodies so you may want to bookmark it for future reference. Assorted: Banana: Blueberry: Lemon:
