Death By Oreo Cupcakes They are probably the best Oreo cakes I have ever tried. A lot of cake's that I have experimented with before are like a vanilla cake with bits of Oreo in them, which didn't really give them enough Oreo flavor. But these were a lot better. I used a dark chocolate fudge cake mix instead of just a regular chocolate cake mix, which went really well with the cookies and gave the cakes just a little more flavor. So, in this recipe there is Oreo's in the cake, in the frosting, and at the bottom is a Oreo surprise. Ingredients 1 package Oreo Cookies, regular size 1 package Mini Oreo Cookies, for decoration (optional) 1 package chocolate cake mix (mix according to directions on box) 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), room temperature 3 3/4 cups powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract cupcake liners Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter and cream cheese. foodsnots.com

Homemade Macaroni and Cheese I’ve been getting a lot of requests for Mac & Cheese recipes lately. The key to an exceptional macaroni and cheese isn’t the cheese, or pasta- it’s the base sauce. The sauce used for making macaroni and cheese is called a béchamel. Homemade Macaroni and Cheese Serves 4-6 Béchamel Sauce: Ingredients: 5 tablespoons butter 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour 4 cups whole milk 2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg 4 cups of cooked pasta 1 cup of shredded cheese Directions: In a medium saucepan, heat the butter over medium-low heat until melted. Meanwhile, heat the milk in a separate pan until just about to boil. At this point, add 1 cup of grated cheese to the béchamel. Once the cheese is placed in the warm béchamel, let it sit for a few minutes so it can become soft. Place equal parts of the béchamel-cheese mixture with your choice of pre-cooked pasta (make sure it’s not over-cooked!) Serve immediately!

Chocolate Stout Cake « Cooking Blog - Find the best recipes, cooking and food tips at Our Kitchen. 10th September 2012By KatePhotography by Adam There has been quite a buzz around beer in the office lately, but being seven months pregnant, I decided that it was only fair that I should be allowed to get in on the action even if it meant putting the beer in a cake! As it turns out, the beer in the cake trick resulted in a deliciously rich, bittersweet treat, of which I must confess I had a second slice. Kurt was kind enough to give me a bottle of his best and blackest brew for the job. These Exist!? Zipzicles Are Ziploc Bags Designed For Popsicles We’re getting a bit nostalgic here today. What did you call the ice pops that came in a sealed plastic tube and that you generally bought in a box of at least 50? At Brit HQ some of us knew them as Otter Pops, others as Flav-or-Ice, and still others as freeze pops. Whatever you called them, we can all agree that they were delicious, especially when eaten poolside or at a backyard BBQ. That’s why we were excited when we came across Zipzicles, a new product that makes it easy to make your own ice pops. And because we can’t resist spiking our sweets, we decided to turn some of our favorite cocktails into Zipzicle recipes. What could be better than getting a bit buzzed off of an ice pop? The first step for all the recipes is to make a batch of simple syrup, which like its name implies, is actually quite simple. You can make as much simple syrup as you like, just use a one to one ratio. You can’t go wrong with a classic strawberry margarita. Instructions: 1. Instructions: 1. Instructions:
