MixxMaker is a service that gives you a place to create virtual mix tapes, load them up with music depending on the theme or your mood, and then post them for passive viewing on Facebook. If your friends are Facebook members and have you listed as a friend, they can listen to your playlists, give you feedback, and even add music to the mix. MixxMaker wants to take the mix tape online and breathe new life into the idea. You've always been able to share mix tapes with friends, and many people will agree that getting a mix tape from a friend has introduced them to bands that they otherwise wouldn't have known about. You can create playlists of music that you already own using the service, and title it based on a theme or a mood. Quite simply, it’s one of the smallest PCs in the world, with each side measuring around 2 inches square. I wrote that it looked cool, ran on a 300MHz processor and that it probably wouldn’t be sold outside of Japan, if at all. Well, now, we’ve actually gone and got hold of one – the only Space Cube in the UK that’s running Linux, in fact. So, we’ve established that it’s incredibly, impossibly small. It’s fair to say that the Space Cube isn’t overloaded with storage space, either. The Space Cube’s chassis is, well, a marvel. Two sides contain the majority of the ports and sockets that adorn the Cube. ort allows for internet access, and a pair of jacks cater for speakers and headphones – proving that there’s room for a few creature comforts amid the sheer functionality of this remarkable little PC. Most intriguing, though, is the Space Wire port.
