It has a sequel, One Must Fall: Battlegrounds. The game was later patched to include multiplayer support. On February 10, 1999, the game was declared freeware by the developers.[1] Background[edit] Screenshot showing Crystal (in the blue Jaguar HAR) fighting Jean-Paul (in the red Shadow HAR). Originally released in beta form on May 18, 1993,[2] while later released in full form in 1994 by Epic MegaGames, One Must Fall: 2097 replaces the human combatants typical of contemporary fighter video games with large Human Assisted Robots (HAR). Gameplay[edit] Eleven HARs and ten selectable pilots are available for play, along with five arenas and four tournaments. Unlike in most fighting games of its time, the arenas (except one, the Stadium) contain hazards. Production[edit] Eva Earlong from Jazz Jackrabbit. Devan Shell from Jazz Jackrabbit. Multi-service image search The Humble Indie Bundle #2 (pay what you want for five awesome indie games) StarCraft Brood War was critically well-received, with reviewers praising it for being developed with the care of a full game rather than as an uninspired extra.[3][4][5] As of 31 May 2007, StarCraft and Brood War have sold almost ten million copies combined.[6] The game is especially popular in South Korea, where professional players and teams participated in matches, earned sponsorships, and competed in televised matches. Gameplay[edit] Several new units were added for Brood War, such as these UEDValkyrie-class frigates. Brood War introduces seven new units. Synopsis[edit] Setting[edit] Brood War takes place in Chris Metzen's StarCraft universe, set around the early 26th century. Characters[edit] The player assumes the roles of three anonymous characters over the course of the game. Plot[edit] Cinematic cut scenes are used at key plot points during the single-player campaigns. In the second campaign, the player leads the United Earth Directorate's initial incursions against the Terran Dominion.
