"Constant, constant, multi-tasking craziness" Most current designs of information technology are based on the notion of supporting distinct tasks such as document production, email usage, and voice communication. In this paper we present empirical results that suggest that people organize their work in terms of much larger and thematically connected units of work. We present results of fieldwork observation of information workers in three different roles: analysts, software developers, and managers.

You need to give the program a piece of ciphertext that's fairly long compared to the length of the key used to encrypt it. The PyGenere source code is freely available under a 2-clause BSD-style license. If you have any comments or suggestions please contact the author (email address in source code). The online version is limited to codewords between 1-20 characters long.

The program will place the Morse code in the bottom box, inserting a "?" if the character cannot be translated. If you want to translate prosigns, enter them as "<CT>" for instance and tick the "Use prosigns" checkbox in the advanced controls. If you are learning Morse code it is recommended that you hide the dots and dashes output as reading this can slow your learning down.
Journal of Network and Computer Applications - An End-User Approach to Business Process Modeling Abstract This paper discusses the main differences between humanistic and mechanistic business process modeling. While the mechanistic approach requires strict process formalization, emphasizes technical details, and constrains the modeling task to technology experts, the humanistic approach is more centered on the end-user.
Design thinking Design thinking stands for design-specific cognitive activities that designers apply during the process of designing. Overview Design thinking has come to be defined as combining empathy for the context of a problem, creativity in the generation of insights and solutions, and rationality in analyzing and fitting various solutions to the problem context. According to Tim Brown, CEO and president of IDEO, the goal of Design Thinking is "matching people’s needs with what is technologically feasible and viable as a business strategy" The premise of teaching Design Thinking is that by knowing about how designers approach problems and the methods which they use to ideate, select and execute solutions, individuals and businesses will be better able to improve their own problem solving processes and take innovation to a higher level.
Facilitating Structuring of Information for Business Users with Hybrid Wikis The flexibility and general applicability of wikis make them a valuable tool for information management and collaboration in modern enterprises. Since information in traditional wikis is only stored in form of unstructured text pages, the way it can be accessed by users is limited to fulltext search and navigation along the links in wiki pages. Some wikis try to overcome this limitation by allowing users to enrich text with semantic annotations, usually being defined in semantic web ontologies. While this provides database-like querying capabilities, it requires that business users learn a specific syntax and understand modelling concepts they are not familiar with. Our approach, called Hybrid Wikis, introduces a small set of simple structuring concepts, namely attributes, type tags, and constraints.

After the evolution in autonomic and ubiquitous computing, we will soon expect devices to understand our changing needs and react to them as transparently as possible. Software adaptation is not a new term though; it has been extensively researched in several domains and in numerous forms. This has resulted in several interpretations of adaptation. This survey aims to provide a disambiguation of the term, as it is understood in ubiquitous computing, and a critical evaluation of existing software adaptation approaches. In particular, we focus on existing solutions that enable dynamic software modifications that happen on resource constrained devices, deployed in mobile and ubiquitous computing environments.
