I've switched to reusable bags and was hoping to use up the plastic grocery bags that exploded from under my sink every time I opened the cupboard door. You will need: N (9mm) crochet hook (metal or plastic) 25-30 plastic grocery bags scissors closable stitch marker large darning needle Terminology:This is what *my* abbreviations mean, they aren't exactly standard sc = single crochet st, sts = stitch, stitches 2in1 = work 2 sc into 1 st, an increase [2in1]x2 = work 2 sc in each of the next 2 sts dec = sc decrease, make 2 sts into one You can find instructions for how to make the 'yarn' and another plastic bag pattern here. A note about rounds and markers: Rounds are indicated with a marker in the last stitch of the round. I would recommend using a marker that closes, because open ended markers can easily slip out.

Birdie Decoration This is my pattern/tutorial for a hanging Birdie Decoration. A completely useless object of course, but very cute all the same. It's an easy project to make, great for using up odds and ends of yarn and can be used in all sorts of ways to bring a little good cheer. This little birdie is made in four pieces :: a round flat circle for the body, a small triangle for the beak and 2 leafy shapes for the wings. First a little summary of the basic crochet stitches :: sl st :: insert hook, yarn over, pull the loop back through the stitch, then through the loop on your hook. dc :: insert hook, yarn over, pull the loop back through the stitch (two loops on hook), yarn over and pull through both loops on hook (note :: this is equivalent to the US sc stitch) htr :: yarn over, insert hook, yarn over, pull the loop back through the stitch (three loops on hook), yarn over and pull through all three loops on hook (note :: this is equivalent to the US hdc stitch) Now you need to make a TRIANGLE BEAK.

Un rêve de bohémienne A bohemian dream... Dès que je l' ai vue je n' ai plus pensé qu' à elle. La dernière fois que ça m' est arrivé c' était il y a quatre ans quand j' ai découvert la Babette Blanket. Admirative des fils Anglo-Américains (qui sont il faut bien l' avouer souvent beaucoup plus beaux que les nôtres) je n' ai pas pensé une seule seconde que ces fils étaient produits en France. C' est pourquoi quand une amie américaine revendait son kit, faute de temps pour le crocheter je lui ai racheté. Pendant que j' attendais mon colis en provenance de Los Angeles, Mary Lena m' apprenait que la charmante Andie de Renaissance Dyeing vivait dans les Pyrénées! Cette étole est composée de 75 couleurs différentes et de 144 carrés. En vente chez Renaissance Dyeing. Je reviens très vite avec une promenade à Montmartre et mon dernier coup de cœur parisien...
Petit Tuto de la Petite Corbeille en Ficelle - Des Filles et des Aiguilles Apparemment, la petite corbeille en ficelle du facteur a donné envie et certaines d'entre vous sont prêtes à tester le rugueux de la ficelle, à découvrir la musculature insoupçonnée de leurs délicates mimines grâce au crochet n°5, à investir dans un tube de crème pour récompenser la peau de leurs doigts après une demi-heure de crochet rustique... alors, lancez-vous ! Le matériel : Des pelotons de ficelle et un crochet n°5.Mes bouts de ficelle (selle de cheval, cheval de course, course en sac...etc !) ne font généralement pas plus d'un mètre mais c'est pas grave ! Il faut juste penser à dissimuler chaque changement de fils dans les m. serrées au fur et à mesure qu'on crochète. Au final, c'est invisible et pas de fils à rentrer. Le fond :R1 : 4 m. en l'air. La bordure festonnée :Sauter 1 m. et crocheter dans la m. suivante "1 d.b., 2 b., 1 d.b Et après l'effort... le réconfort : N.B. : Quand je serai grande, j'apprendrai à faire des pdf téléchargeables. Retro Circles - The Tutorial I’m calling this a ‘tutorial’ rather than a pattern as I’m not re-inventing the wheel. Although I didn’t work from a pre-existing pattern when making my blanket I know there are many ‘circle in a square’ patterns out there. One from Little Tin Bird that is very similar to what I had done, so I would hate anyone to think that I’m claiming their pattern as my own. So! Here goes... Abbreviations: US crochet terms SS- Slip stitch SC- Single crochet HDC- Half-double crochet DC- Double crochet TC- Treble crochet Ch- Chain Select the hook that works well with the yarn you have. Note: Rounds 2-4 worked entirely in the BACK LOOP ONLY. Round 1: Start with a magic circle and chain 3 (counts as first DC), 11 more DC into the circle, tighten circle.
