Minimalist Multi-Touch Glass Keyboard And Mouse
Here’s a cool project from kickstarter.com by Jason Giddings, a multi-touch glass keyboard and mouse. No this keyboard is not made by Apple but it does use the same less is more mentality. The multi-touch glass keyboard and mouse are currently in the concept phase and pledges are being taken to make them a reality. The mouse and keyboard looks very elegant and modern and are sure to be a conversation piece at the office. The multi-touch keyboard contains all the keys you’d find in a traditional keyboard but they’re drawn on the back side of the glass, so they won’t rub off over time. The multi-touch glass keyboard is not only cool looking but it also has a few advantages over a conventional keyboard. The pledge goal for this project was set at $50,000 which has already been surpassed, so we know this keyboard and mouse will be going into production. Steampunk Insects Created from Bullets
Tom Hardwidge’s Arthrobots are robotic insects — steampunk creations made from upcycled gears, nuts, bolts… and bullets! All images courtesy of Tom Hardwidge . English artist Tom Hardwidge has an unusual specialty: creating steampunk insects from old, inactive ammunition and pieces of clockwork. Each piece is so delicately and masterfully crafted that it is sometimes hard to even imagine what the recycled components might once have been, or to decipher where one part ends and where the next begins. Even harder to believe is that Hardwidge creates steampunk insects only as a hobby; he is a digital designer by day and gets time to work as a creative insect maker only at night. Apart from old bullets, discarded pocket watch parts make up the bulk of his little insects. Most of the pieces are supplied by local company, The Watch Lab, who sift through their rubbish bins to find parts for Hardwidge. This golden grasshopper ( Roborthoptera aurum duo ) has long legs, curly antennae and no wings.

Gift Box
Gift Box This box made from two bills. The bills/box can be the gift itself, but it is also just about the right size for a ring box. (Perhaps a dollar-bill ring?) Get yourself two fairly new, crisp bills. Lay the bill on a flat surface, face up. Fold the note top-to-bottom just to the right of the portrait, then unfold. Starting at the top left corner (as illustrated), close the top third fold to about 90 degrees. Inside this corner will be a remaining portion that you will crease along the natural 45 degree line to complete the corner. Complete the previous step for the other three corners. For each tab, pull it inside the box, folding so that the natural edge of the box is pulled slightly over inside the fold. Do this evenly for both tabs. For the two other sides, evenly fold over the edge of the bill. You should now have an open box. If you make another piece just like the first, but slightly larger, you would have a lid similar to that found on most shoe boxes. Back
