OH, HELLO PRETTIEST DRESSES IN THE WORLD | it's so nice to meet you! | The wedding dresses I'm crushing on, HARD-STYLE. Plus, Bambino makes friends, OBVS. Happy Monday afternoon, darlings! Did you guys enjoy your weekends? I sure hope so. For us, this weekend was chock-full of family time, so it was busy busy busy. My niece and nephew along with their mommy and daddy (my sister/brother-in-law), plus my kick-ass big brother (not to be confused with my beloved even-though-he’s-25-years-old-I-still-wanna-consider-myself-his-other-mother little brother) are all in town on the homestead out in the country, and it’s been too, too long since the last time we’ve all been hunked together in one reuniony situation thingie. We do it every year or so, sometimes twice if we’re lucky, but still, it feels like too much time passes every time. I would like each and every dress below to report to my closet immediately. ↑ Styles, clockwise: Hollywood & Sydney ↑ Style: Palm Springs ↑ Styles, clockwise: Adelaide, Mackay, Devenport & Swan ↑ Style: Santa Rosa Ok, let’s stop here for a moment. Exhibit A: Style Grafton Is grabbing my face and won’t let go. Ok, SO!

DIY | Doily Lantern | Glamour and Grace The lovely Sarah is back again this month with another fabulous DIY! This one is so simple and chic, I know you all are going to love it! Happy spring, readers! I have been so excited to share this month’s DIY project with you! It is an easy, affordable centerpiece idea that was inspired by Shannon South’s gorgeous upcycled Doily Lamp. I stumbled across this stunning lamp while searching for a unique idea involving doilies, and thought a modified version would be fantastic for this month’s project. Materials: 4-5 doilies per lamp (preferably round and about 5-6 inches in diameter, depending on the size you want the orb to be. ***Before you start, make sure to wash your doilies by hand with a mild soap and lukewarm water in the sink. Step 1: Take your rubber ball or balloon and place it in a small dish to keep it steady while you work. Step 2: Once you have the doilies arranged how you want them, pour some fabric stiffener onto the palate or wax paper. Have fun and stay crafty! Share:

Wedding Blog: Smores Bar Desserts | Wedloft by WeddingWindow.com Today, many brides and grooms are incorporating more of their own personal style into their wedding day. Many couples feel if they are going to spend thousands of dollars on this day, it should be one that they will enjoy and one that is filled with all things that they enjoy. So, when I ran across the idea of having a S’mores Bar during a wedding reception, I immediately fell head over heels in love … It is such a warm, family friendly idea (reminds me of the times spent telling stories around the campfire). photo credit: ellybevents.comPin it You can now see a s’mores bar literally on a bar set in rocks with burners serving as your flame source. photo credit: ellybevents.comPin it photo credit: ellybevents.comPin it There are many variations to the contemporary s’mores bar … whichever display you decide, remember the most important part is offering your guests a fun way to enjoy making their own s’mores. photo credit: 100percentcottam-austin.blogspot.comPin it

Abby & Zach's Piazza Peacock Wedding & Dallas Wedding Photographer Stacy Reeves | Vintage Modern Wedding Photography It has been killing me to hold on to this wedding but I’ve been patiently biding my time, keeping these images quiet. Now that I finally have the go ahead from Style Me Pretty (where the pics will be featured this afternoon), I can show them off! Abby & Zach’s wedding was an awesome one for many reasons. Abby is a photographer herself, so she and I were completely on the same wavelength when it came to many aspects of the wedding day, and she really put a lot of thought into every detail of their wedding. Because it was a morning ceremony, the day started EXTREMELY early (I arrived about 4:30 AM and the girls were already up and running). Zach is the Vice President of DJones Tailored Collection, a company that makes custom-tailored suits, so naturally all the men are clothed in swanky DJones suits! Abby was inspired by the proposal scene in Pride and Prejudice where Elizabeth and Mr. This is by no means the end of Abby & Zach’s photos.

Do-it-Yourself DIY String Wedding Lanterns Yarn Chandeliers Jessica of Wednesday Inc shows us how to make those gorgeous twine chandeliers from the inspiration shoot she shared with us this morning. Using balloons, glue and twine, you can also make these lanterns for your wedding – and then bring it home and use it as your very own mid century lampshade. What you will need are: balloons, glue, yarn, tray for glue, corn starch 1/2 cup of Corn starch, 1/4 cup of Warm water, clear fast drying spray paint, hanging lamp cord or fishing line (depending on your desired final product), and a lighting kit if you’re looking for a fully functional lantern. Jessica recommends using a sharpie to mark on the inflated balloon how much room you need to leave for the lighting cord. She also recommends coating the balloon with vaseline prior to wrapping the yarn coated with glue so it doesn’t stick on the balloon once it’s dry. You can see all the details on Jessica’s blog. Are you getting excited to try to do this at home as much I am? Instructions: 1.

The hallmarks of a Jelly Shot include: a flavor true to the cocktail inspiration and a free-spirited jiggly form that makes them a delight to devour. DIY Fabric Poms | DIY Wedding Blog | Once Wed We recently created this fabric pom pom as a tree topper for an inspiration shoot over at Design*Sponge, but it’s a great DIY project for a wedding as well. They have so many creative uses… hung above tables, chair aisle decor, or an alternative to the expensive flower poms that flower girls use to walk down the aisle. -Ashley of Dolci Odille Supplies: Fabric, scissors, hot glue gun, and chinese lanterns. Step 1: Cut circles out of fabric. Step 2: Fold the circle in half and put a little hot glue on the center, then fold over to secure. Step 3: Apply more hot glue to the bottom of the folded circle. Step 4: Press the bottom of the folded circle with the hot glue onto the chinese lantern. Step 5: Repeat these steps until the whole lantern is covered. Project created by Dolci Odille

DIY Houses by Night » Fellow Fellow Ready for a bit of DIY love? :) A little town at night.. isn’t it sweet?! There are a few tricks to making this DIY a success, all to do with finding the perfect image. 1. What you’re looking for is a picture of a house/castle/building that’s taken front-on (perspective works, but not as well). 2. 3. 4. 5. I was lucky enough to have found some old photo books at a market in Germany that hold some of the coolest black and white photos from the War era.. perfect for a project like this one! Here’s what you’ll need: **Note: Use only Battery powered tea lights ! Step 1: You want to start cutting and finish cutting at around the same height on either side of your picture. {Wedding Trends} : Braided Hairstyles - Part 2 I LOVE braids! Although until recently, wearing a braided hairstyle was just for the bohemian bride, nowadays, soft, glamorous braided updos are being embraced by classic and modern brides alike! And dispite the fact that some people still consider braids to be an everyday-look, they could easily be adapted to a formal occasion. Case in point: Kate Middletown look at the BOA Olympic Concert. She rocked a super cute braided updo that you may want to borrow for your wedding day (see the pics on my Pinterest account by clicking here). Can't get enough of this pretty trend?
