Institut für Sicherheitspolitik an der Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel: Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses Home > Projekte > Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses Neben der Forschungsarbeit besteht ein weiterer Tätigkeitsschwerpunkt in der Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses im Bereich der strategischen Wissenschaft. Hierzu hat Herr Prof. Dr. Krause vier Dissertationsstipendien in Höhe von 1.100 Euro pro Monat für jeweils zwei Jahre, gefördert durch die Stiftung Wissenschaft und Demokratie, an exzellente Nachwuchswissenschaftler vergeben und ein Doktorandenkolleg initiiert. Ein wesentlicher Aspekt ist zudem der Bereich der Lehre. Das Ziel der ISPK-Tätigkeit ist es zudem, durch wissenschaftlich fundierte Politikempfehlungen einen Beitrag zur sicherheitspolitischen Diskussion auf deutscher und internationaler Ebene zu leisten sowie durch das Entwickeln geeigneter Antworten auf die aktuellen sicherheitspolitischen Herausforderungen, Anregungen zur Gestaltung der deutschen Sicherheitspolitik zu geben.

NewSchools Venture Fund: A non-profit venture philanthropy firm working to transform public education for low-income children Scholarships :: German Historical Institute London (GHIL) Each year the GHIL awards a number of research scholarships to post-graduate students and Habilitanden at German universities to enable them to carry out research in Britain, and in some cases to post-graduates at British universities for research visits to Germany. The scholarships are generally awarded for a period of up to six months, depending on the requirements of the research project. Applicants from British universities will normally be expected to have completed one year's post-graduate research, and be studying German history or Anglo-German relations. Deadlines for applications are usually 31 March and 30 September each year. During their stay in Britain, German scholars present their projects and the first results of their research at the Institute's Colloquium, and English scholars do the same on their return from Germany. RUS established the Broadband Incentives Program (BIP) and set out two major application windows for this funding. Applications for the first round were filed in August, 2009, and the second round in March, 2010. Rural Library Program: The RUS is making $2 million available for a Rural Library Program. a. b. c. On the other hand, if a library is eligible and meets all the criteria above, then the program could be quite valuable, as it will fund a range of broadband-related expenses which include: Broadband Connection: The grant will fund the costs of providing a broadband connection to the rural library. Library Improvement: Eligible costs also include the costs of improving the rural library in order to accommodate, if necessary, the individual workstations.
