Die Hausbücher der Nürnberger Zwölfbrüderstiftungen
Die beiden Nürnberger Zwölfbrüderbücher waren als Chroniken und Totenbücher zweier Nürnberger Sozialstiftungen des späten Mittelalters angelegt worden. Ohne Unterbrechung wurden sie bis zum Ende der reichsstädtischen Selbständigkeit im Jahr 1806 mit strenger Kontinuität gepflegt: vorderhand der steten Erfüllung des Stiftungszwecks Ausdruck verleihend - und gleichzeitig ein immens reiches Bildmaterial erzeugend. Der vermögende Handelsmann Konrad Mendel hatte 1388 ein Altenheim zur Wohnstätte und Verpflegung für jeweils zwölf bedürftige, alte Nürnberger Handwerker erbauen und mit Kapital für eine dauerhafte Führung ausstatten lassen.

Die im Herbst 2001 in Augsburg durchgeführte Tagung des Arbeitskreises Frühe Neuzeit bildete den Anstoß zu einem neuen Informationssystem zur Medien- und Kommunikationsgeschichte, dessen erste Ergebnisse Sie auf den folgenden Seiten erwarten. Unser Angebot enthält knappe Artikel zu verschiedenen Medientypen, Grundlagentexte, digitalisierte Quellen sowie Links zu interessanten Webangeboten. Weiterhin stellen einige Referenten der Augsburger Tagung Materialien zu ihren Vorträgen sowie einen Sektionsbericht zur Verfügung. Wir möchten darauf hinweisen, dass es sich bei den Artikeln und Themen lediglich um eine Auswahl handelt, die keinen Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit erhebt.
La Lettre de l’OCIM - Musées, Patrimoine et Culture scientifiques et techniques
"Exposer" les sujets sensibles Ce numéro de La Lettre de l’Ocim est consacré à la problématique Exposer les sujets sensibles. Coordonné avec Ewa Maczek, directrice par intérim de l’Ocim, il rassemble un certain nombre de contributions qui pour la plupart sont issues d’une formation organisée sur ce sujet par l’Ocim en septembre 2018. Le musée en tant qu’acteur culturel et social aborde certains thèmes sociétaux considérés comme des sujets sensibles qui questionnent le visiteur en tant que citoyen.

The French Book Trade in Enlightenment Europe
The French Book Trade in Enlightenment Europe (FBTEE) project uses database technology to map the trade of the Société Typographique de Neuchâtel (STN), a celebrated Swiss publishing house that operated between 1769 and 1794. As the STN sold the works of other publishers alongside its own editions, their archives can be considered a representative source for studying the history of the book trade and dissemination of ideas in the late Enlightenment. Using state of the art database, web interface and GIS technology, the project provides a user-friendly resource for use by scholars, teachers and students of French literature and history, book history, the Enlightenment and bibliography more generally. This resource was publicly launched on 25 June 2012 and is freely available on this website. In addition, this website gives an overview of the project more generally and some of the uses of the database.
