Diferenças entre OSCIP e ONG[editar | editar código-fonte] De modo geral, a OSCIP (Organização da Sociedade Civil de Interesse Público) é entendida como uma instituição em si mesma, ou seja, qualificada pela lei 9.790 de 23/03/99 (Lei do Terceiro Setor). Pode-se dizer que as OSCIPs são o reconhecimento oficial e legal mais próximo do que modernamente se entende por ONG, especialmente porque são marcadas por exigências legais de prestação de contas referente a todo o dinheiro público recebido do Estado.[3] O termo de parceria assinado pela OSCIP com o poder público prevê inclusive sanções e penalidades em caso de descumprimento das obrigações legais.[4] Contudo, ser uma OSCIP é uma opção institucional, não uma obrigação. Volunteer Onshore Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society! Our campaigns are only possible because of the day-to-day efforts of our many volunteers. We are always in need of volunteers to conduct outreach activities, fundraisers, obtain donated supplies, distribute information, do research, and so much more! Onshore volunteers (OSVs) are Crewmembers, and are a vital part of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and the greater Sea Shepherd Movement. Because of the hard work, passion, and commitment of dedicated volunteers across North America, we are able to conduct our highly successful direct action campaigns to defend, conserve, and protect our planet’s fragile marine eco-systems.
